Rabd osia Rubescens [Hem sl.] Hara has prominent anti-tumor effect. So its marketis very large. Xinyang city, lies on the boundary of Hubei province and Henan province,has special position. Its southern climate and northern climate alternate. JigongshanNational Natural Protected Area lies on Xinyang area. There are abundance of wild Rabdosia Rubescens [Hem sl.] Hara, and form important community. In order to domesticate,breed and cultivate Rabd osia Rubescens [Hem sl.] Hara, the writer investigated thevegetation in its growing area and researched the breeding technique on the foundation ofRabd osia rubescens [Hem sl.] Hara research progress and summarized the former'sexperiences. The results provide a very important theory foundation for GAP of Rabdosia Rubescens [Hem sl.] Hara.With sample plot method, this paper investigated distribution of wild Rabd osiarubescens [Hem sl.] Hara. The results show that the vegetation community has moretypical characteristic of biology diversity; feverfew, leguminous plants and labiate aredominant plant.Xinyang Rabd osia rubescens [Hem sl.] Hara can propagate by two ways. Oneis asexual propagation and the other is sexual propagation. Sowing early will enhance theproductivity of Rabd osia rubescens [Hem sl.] Hara. Planting time has effect on thestocking percent and productivity of sucker division propagation, which is significant.Meanwhile, the effect of degree of sucker division but to the yield in October and thetotal yield is significant, but to stocking percent is not so significant. The best time forsucker division propagation is between 20th Feb and 1st Mar.The height and the yield of the Rabd osia rubescens [Hem sl.] Hara with differentplanting time is obvious different. As using different level of root stocks, the yield andthe rate of becoming young plants is not at the same level; the best of reproducing byrootstock is no later than March.Rabd osia rubescens [Hem sl.] Hara could be multiplied by seeds. Maturationseeds have thousand-grain-weight about 0.46g, showing white lines on seed capsule, willlet it get a higher rate of becoming young plants. The seeds hardly could grow out of theearth at a planting depth of more than 3cm, 1cm will be the best. The best time forseeding is some about 20th March.Planting density hardly affected the output of Rabd osia rubescens [Hem sl.] Haraas the planting density between 4,160 trees to 10,600 trees in 667 square meters.Adopting earlier planting, lower planting density and using 75kg/667m~2 complex fertilizer could contribute to get more output and better quality, the yield are 33.7 percenthigher than that of control plot. The optimum harvest periods for Rabd osia rvbescens(Hem sl.) Hara should be in the period of July to August in Xinyang area.
