This research choose 154 tobacco samples of different breeds in 21 counties and cities of Henan provinces,313 tobacco samples of different breeds in 39 counties and cities of Yunnan provinces.Analyzed the chemical composition of Henan and Yunnan tobacco by descriptive statistics analysis and analyzed different ranks by significance test of difference of Henan and Yunnan tobacco.Descriptive statistics analysis and significance test of difference of neutral aroma matters content and the proportion of neutral aroma matters content to the total neutral aroma matters of Henan and Yunnan C3F samples and canonical correlation analysis of conventional chemical composition and neutral aroma matters content indicated that:(1)Analyzed the chemical composition of Henan and Yunnan tobacco by descriptive statistics analysis,the results showed that:nicotine(2.33%),TN(1.82%),chlorine(0.41%), TN/Nic(0.85),K/CI(4.55),the ratio of sugar to nicotine(11.31)of Henan tobacco are in the general quality of tobacco within the scope of the request;the average of potassium content (1.27%)is lower;total sugar(23.57%),reducing sugar(21.20%)of the average are higher, but the difference between the content of total sugar and reducing sugar is small,only 2.37%; reducing sugar and the total sugar ratio is 89.94%,showed that hanan tobacco had better maturity,total sugar mostly concentrated in 18%~30%,nicotine in 1.5%~3.5%,reducing sugar in 16%~25%,potassium in 1.0%~2.0%,chlorine in 0.2%~0.8%,TN/Nic in 0.6~1, K/Cl in 2~8.Nicotine(2.83%),TN(2.09%),chlorine(0.37%),K/Cl(6.66),sugar alkali ratio(11.60)of Yunnan tobacco are in the general quality of tobacco within the scope of the request;potassium(1.92%),TN/Nic(0.79)is lower;total sugar(29.08%),reducing sugar (24.75%)are higher.Among them,the majority sample of total sugar content are above 24%; nicotine concentrated in 1.5%~3.5%,TN in 1.5%~2.5%,reducing sugar in 20%~30%, potassium in 1.4%~2.5%,chlorine in 0.2%~0.8%,TN/Nic in 0.6~1,K/Cl in 2~8,sugar alkali ratio in 8~18.(2)Analyzed the chemical composition of different ranks of Henan and Yunnan tobacco by Significance test of difference,the results showed that:the total sugar,reducing sugar content of Yunnan is remarkably higher than Henan,also total sugar content of two provinces has outdone the standard upper limit which generally thought;the nicotine content, the others are suitable in the scope except that Yunnan B2F is slightly higher;the overall is remarkably higher than Henan.In the total nitrogen content,two provinces comparatively are suitable,but the difference is bigger,also in three ranks achieved remarkable or the extremely remarkable level,the overall displayed the tendency of Yunnan bigger than Henan.In the potassium content between two provinces,the difference is also bigger,three ranks reached to the remarkable level,similarly displayed the tendency of Yunnan bigger than Henan,but the potassium contents of two provinces are lower than the high quality smoke requested.The difference of sugar alkali ratio is not remarkable in two provinces,also the difference is not big.Compared with Henan,the proportion of three ranks which Yunnan fluctuates did not surpass 5%;the difference of TN/Nic,chlorine,K/Cl of three ranks between two provinces didn't display the consistent regularity.(3)In the 23 neutral aroma matters of Henan tobacco,the neophytadiene(714.40μg/g) is the highest,followed by solanone(62.12μg/g),damascenone(31.79μg/g),farnesalacetone (25.76μg/g),furfural(17.40μg/g).They account for 74.48%,6.86%,3.50%,3.39%,1.93% of the total neutral aroma matters and the rest were smaller content.In the 23 neutral aroma matters of Yunnan tobacco,the neophytadiene(838.27μg/g)is the highest,followed by solanone(43.45μg /g),damascenone(24.97μg/g),furfural(23.55μg/g),farnesalacetone (15.55μg/g).They account for 80.92%,4.58%,2.54%,2.32%,1.59%of the total neutral aroma matters and the rest were smaller content.(4)Compared the proportion of neutral aroma matters content to the total neutral aroma matters in two provinces,we can find that:in the products degraded by chlorophyll, neophytadiene is the most;Henan is lower than Yunnan,the proportion of neophytadiene content to the total neutral aroma matters displays the consistent regularity.In the products degraded by carotenoid,the difference between two provinces is significant too;the difference ofβ- damascenone,geranyl acetone,dihydroactinidiolide(A,B,C,D),megastig matrienone,hexahydofarnesyl acetone and farnesalacetone between two provinces achieved remarkable or the extremely remarkable level except for pseudoionone and Henan is more than Yunnan in all its bearings.The proportion of neutral aroma matters content to the total neutral aroma matters displays the consistent regularity.In the products of maillard reaction, furfural,furfuryl alcohol and 2-acetylpyrrole of Henan is lower remarkably than Yunnan; the difference of 2-acetylfuran and 5-methylfurfural in two provinces didn't achieve remarkable level.The proportion of neutral aroma matters content to the total neutral aroma matters displayed the consistent regularity.In the products degraded by cembrare,solanone content and the proportion of solanone content to the total neutral aroma matters of Henan were higher remarkably than Yunnan.In the products of aromatic amino acid metabolism, benzyl alcohol content and phenylethanol content were lower remarkably than Yunnan,but phenylacetaldehyde content was higher than Yunnan.Though the difference of benzaldehyde content between two provinces was big,it didn't achieve remarkable level, which is relation to the bigger variation of benzaldehyde content in different provinces.(5)Canonical correlation of chemical composition and neutral aroma matters by combining Henan and Yunnan tobacco samples indicated that:sugar,nicotine content, TN/Nic and K/Cl were close to products of maillard reaction content and products degraded by chlorophyll content,products of maillard reaction content and products degraded by chlorophyll content took on heightening trend along with the reducing sugar,nicotine content and increasing of TN/Nic and K/Cl.
