5 microsatellite markers (HEL04,INRA129,CSSM47,McM064 and SRCRSP10)of chromosome 8 selected from the goatlinkage map were studied by means of PCR,polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and silver staining in this experiment to search for Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL) for economic traits of 120 goats from the Chinese special, Liaoning new breed. Three microsatellite loci(CSSM47,McM064 and SRCRSP10 )analyzed were polymorphic in this flock with an average number of alleles per locus ,the average information content(PIC) and average heterozygosity were 6, 0.6288 and 0.7980 respectively. To reach an accurate result,all the markers to be used in a study must be selected properly.Making use of the PROC GLM of SAS we get the result as the follows: CC and DE of CSSM47, AD and BB of SRCRSP10 were the favorable genotypes to body weight. BC of CSSM47, AA and AB of McM064, CC of SRCRSP10 were the favorable genotypes to cashmere yield. AC of CSSM47,BC of McM064,AB and BC of SRCRSP10,were the favorable genotypes to cashmere fineness.All calculated parameters were different. The significant higher heterozygosity suggested that Chinese special, Liaoning new breed Population had abundant genetic diversity and potential of selection. And this study suggested that microsatellite DNA marker was a useful tool in detecting genetic diversity in closely related breeds and accessions. This research showed high variation within and between the goat populatios in this study and also proved that microstellite genotyping was a useful tool to evaluate the variation and evolutionary relationships among animal populations such as goat and to guide the breeding of the Liaoning New Breed of Cashmere Goats. This study had a great significance because that it can give a theory gist for genetic marker assistant selection(MAS),Quantitative traits locus(QTL) locating, improvement of Liaoning New Breed of Cashmere Goats and breeding of the Liaoning New Breed of Cashmere Goats etc.
