Abstract/Summary:
Combining traditional Chinese medicine theory with long-term Chinese veterinary clinicalexperience, Qinyongkangbingling" was developed as an animal Chinese medicine preparation. Theresults of pharmacodynamics experiment showed that this preparation had many functions, such asrejecting bacterium, rejecting virus, opposing oxidization, strengthening immunization function, and could be used to decrease stress, delay symptom, advance recovery from illness, prevent andcure complication and secondary infection in clinics, especially right to cure and prevent youngpoultry from contagious disease. Pharmacokinetics of "Qinyongkangbingling" in chicken plasmawas studied by the method of High Performance Liquid Chromatography, and the security ofpreparation was evaluated via acute toxicity experiment and subchronic toxicity experiment, whichwill provide scientific theory reference for clinics and found the basis for new animal medicinepreparation and industrial production. The results showed that:1. Drenched chickens with "Qinyongkangbingling", the concentration-time course of balcalinin plasma could be described by a two-compartment open model with first order absorption, itstheoretical equation was: C1=2.0217e-0.6394t+1.2765e-0.2370t-3.2982e-1.5398t, and the mainpharmacokinetic parameters were as following: Cmax=1.2321μg/ml, Tp=1.9153h, Ka=1.5398h-1. theconcentration -time course of forsythin in plasma could be described by a two-compartment openmodel with first order absorption, its theoretical equation was: C2=0.9457e-0.5087t+0.1915e-0.1170t—1.1372e-1.3944t, and the main pharmacokinetic parameters were as following: Cmax=0.4515μg/ml,Tp=1.6648h, Ka=1.3944h-1. These showed that "Qinyongkangbingling" was absorbed quickly, distributed quickly and eliminated slowly in chickens.2. Disease was no happened in Chickens fed with the maximum tolerance dose, 75g/kgBW inone day, and pathology change was not found yet, That showed the preparation was safe in acutetoxicity experiment. The physiology and biochemistry targets of every group chickens andpathology examination were not altered significantly. These showed the preparation could be usedsafely in clinics.
