A total of 45 D*L*Y crossbred weaned piglets with average weight of about 10 Kg wereselected and assigned to three groups. Chinese herb feed additives, antibiotic(chemicalmedicament) and nothing were supplemented respectively to 3 groups (GroupⅠ, GroupⅡand Control Group)to investigate the effects on the growing characteristics (i.e. daily weightgains, etc), diarrhea rate and biochemical quota of blood and function quota of immunity (IgGIgM, IgA, Total protein, albumin, IL-2, positive ratio of T-lymphocytes). The whole feedingexperiments divides into 3 stages, namely 10-20 Kg, 20-40 Kg, 40-70 Kg. Compared with theControl Group, the results of the growing characteristics shows as follows: Daily weight gain inGroupⅠand GroupⅡincreases 42.24% P<0.01) ,59.00% P<0.01); 12.00% (P<0.05),16.87%(P<0.05); 6.79% (P<0.05), 15.99% (P<0.05) respectively in the three stages, The twotreatment groups were found to be able to prevent piglets weighing 10-40Kg from diarrheaeffectively. Compared with the Control Group, in the stage of 10-20 Kg, 20-40 Kg, 40-70 Kg,GroupⅠand GroupⅡboth get the blood biochemical quota and immunity function quota asfollows: Albumin increases by 18.23% (P<0.01), 14.09%(P<0.01); 20.34%(P<0.01),10.39%(P<0.01); 21.96%(P<0.01), 9.28%(P<0.05). Total protein increase by 16.05%(P<0.05),12.21%(P<0.05); 22.44%(P<0.01), 15.40%(P<0.01); 22.39%(P<0.05), 10.20%(P<0.05). IgGof serum increases by 15.23%(P<0.01), 8.07%(P<0.05); 22.79%(P<0.01) , 9.41%(P<0.05);20.26%(P<0.01), 5.93%(P<0.05). IgM of serum increases by 1529%(P<0.05), 9.80%(P<0.05);17.41%(P<0.01), 8.29%(P<0.05); 19.48%(P<0.01), 4.91%(P<0.05). IgAofserum increases by3.81%(P<0.05), 2.54%(P<0.05); 9.79%(P<0.01), 6.13%(P<0.01); 10.67%(P<0.01), 4.21%(P<0.05). IL-2 increases by 18.70%(P<0.01), 27.20%(P<0.01) 7.00%(P<0.05)和22.62%(P<0.01). During the growth stage of 20-40 Kg, compared with the Control Group, thepositive rate of T-lymphocytes in GroupⅠand GroupⅡincreases by 13.10%(P<0.05),21.77%(P<0.01)respectively.The results indicated that compared with Control Group, the supplement of Chinese herbfeed additives can improve obviously the piglets' the growing characteristics, effect the bloodbiochemical quota noticeably, thus upgrade the immunity function of piglets. It is also provedthat the supplement of Chinese herb feed additives is equivalent or superior to parts of antibiotic(chemical medicament) in terms of the growth promotion, disease resistance. It provides thescientific theory basis for the popularizing applications of Chinese herb feed additives in porkerproduction of non-environmental pollution and control of residues of medicine.
