This article is about the sub-topic research of Jilin province maize high-yield technologytopic, which is on Source-Sink traits. It is established three kinds of yields levels including lowyield, high yield, and super-high yield. It is the first time to carry on Source-Sink treatment onmaize super-high yield fields which yields for 1020kg per acre (667m2), to promulgate therelations between Source-Sink and yields, biomass, and the amount of nitrogen and potassium, aswell as the Source-Sink traits of super-high yield fields.1. The influence of Source-Sink treatment to the yields and the yields essential factor:Source-Sink treatment makes difference smaller on low and high yield fields, while theinfluence on super-high yield fields is extremely remarkable. Reducing the source cause the yieldsto drop 24%, reducing the sink cause the yields to drop 29%, and reducing the source+reducingthe sink cause the yields to drop 30% which approach reducing the sink treatment. In the yieldconstitution factor, the influence of Source-Sink treatment to 100-kemel weight is the mostobvious. Reducing the source cause 100-kernel weight to reduce, reducing the sink cause it toincrease, also is the super-high yield influence the most obvious. Reducing the source cause100-kernel weight to reduce 6.0%, reducing the sink cause it to increase 11.7%, while reducingthe source+reducing the sink cause it to increase 8.4%. The influence of Source-Sink treatment tothe yields is reducing source+reducing sink>reducing sink>reducing source. The sink is themain limit factor to the super-high yield fields, while the source is the accessory factor.2. The influence of Source-Sink treatment to the dry matter:The accumulation of the dry matter in growth period presents the s curve, but exponentialcurve in the super-high yield fields.Source-Sink treatment has little influence on different yield level of the dry matter, with theimpact of the increase in output increases. The influence reducing the source+reducing the sink isalmost the same with the influence of Source-Sink to the dry matter, which make it clear that theinfluence of reducing Sink to the dry matter bigger than reducing source obviously.3. The influence of Source-Sink treatment to nitrogen:The amount of nitrogen in the maize gradually increases, achieving highest at jointing stageand decreasing form jointing stage to complete ripeness stage. The amount of nitrogen increasesalong with the increasing of the yields.Reducing source causes the amount of nitrogen in the low and high yields to drop, but theinfluence of reducing source to the amount of nitrogen in the low and high yield maize kernels isnot remarkable. Reducing source causes the amount of nitrogen in super-high yield and maize kernels all shows the reduced tendency But reducing sink has little influence on the amount ofnitrogen in the low and high yields to drop, only making the accumulation of the amount ofnitrogen to the super-high yield maize kernel increase.4. The influence of Source-Sink treatment to potassium:The amount of potassium in the super-high yield maize in the growth period has two peaks, but low yield maize has one peak only. The amount of potassium has close correlation with maize photosynthetic rate. Reducingsource make photosynthetic rate decrease and the amount of potassium in the low and high yieldmaize gradually reduces, but gradually increases in the super-high yield maize.Reducing sink causes the amount of potassium in the low and high yield lower, but makes theamount of potassium in super-high yield kernels to gradually increase.
