Studies On The Effects Of Butyrate Salts On Performance,Nutrients Metablism Ratio,Egg Quality And Microbial Population Of Laying Hens | | Posted on:2008-12-02 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:X Y Zhang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2143360218962076 | Subject:Animal Nutrition and Feed Science | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Effects of three kinds of butyrate salts were studied by adding in layer diets.1008 healthy B380 laying hens were divided into four groups.Each group had six replicates of 42 hens.Each group had the diet of corn-soybean meal basal diet and adding 300ppm sodium butyrate,300ppm 50%coating sodium butyrate and 300ppm calcium butyrate respectively.60 days feeding expriment was carried out.The performance,nutrients metabolism rate,egg quality and microbial population in chymes were detected.Comparing with the control group,the groups of sodium butyrate and calcium butyrate improved laying rate and decreased feed egg rate(P<0.05).There were no significant differences for ADFI and average egg weight among each group(P>0.05).The feeding benefits were raised by adding butyrate salts.The nutrient metabolic rates were raised by adding butyrate salts.The crude protein and energy apparent metabolic rates increased significantly by adding sodium butyrate or calcium butyrate(P<0.05). There was significantly difference(P<0.01)for phorphous apparent metabolic rates adding butyrate salt comparing with the control group.There were no significant differences for EE and calcium apparent metabolic rates among each group(P>0.05).The results of egg quality showed that the thick of eggshell and haugh unit were raised significantly by adding calcium butyrate(P<0.05).The eggs of adding sodium butyrate and calcium butyrate had higher density than other groups(P<0.05).There were no different(P>0.05)for egg shape index among the test groups(P>0.05).The pH of chymes in different tracts had the decreasing tedency by adding butyrate salts.The pH of thyme in jejunum was increased significantly(P<0.05).There were significantly difference(P<0.05) in cecum and colon for adding sodium butyrate and 50%coating sodium butyrate comparing with the control group.The amount of lactobacilli population were decreased by adding butyrate salts in cecum and colon(P<0.05).There were significant differences significant differences in jejunum(P<0.05)adding sodium butyrate or calcium butyrate and in ileum(P<0.01)adding sodium butyrate and 50%coating sodium butyrate comparing with the control group.The amount of colibacilIusi population in jejunum,cecum and colon(P<0.05)adding butyrate salts comparing with the control group.The results indicated that adding sodium butyrate and calcium butyrate could improve the laying rate,crude protein and energy apparent metabolic rates,increasing the benefits of layer hens.The effects for adding sodium butyrate and calcium butyrate were better than that of 50%coating sodium butyrate.
