With the improvement of people’s living standards, the requirements for daily nutrition are getting higher and higher.Compared with eggs, duck eggs and goose eggs, quail eggs have higher nutritional value and are easy to be processed into various delicacies and snack foods, and are deeply loved by consumers.Cholesterol content in poultry egg yolk has always been an important indicator for consumers.High cholesterol can easily lead to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis, hyperlipidemia, and coronary heart disease. Therefore, while improving egg production performance, how to improve egg quality, especially how to reduce the cholesterol content in egg yolk, has always been the focus of animal husbandry workers.Nutrition regulation is an important means to improve egg quality, and the development of new green feed additives that are non-toxic,non-residue and low-cost has always been the goal of the breeding industry. The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of adding different proportions of compound probiotics in the diet on the production performance, egg quality, nutrient utilization, serum biochemical indexes, egg yolk cholesterol content and antioxidant properties of laying quails, and to develop green feed additives.Promotion provides test basis.A total of 840 healthy 100-day-old Japanese quails with similar body weight were selected and randomly divided into 3 groups, with 7 replicates in each group and 40 quails in each replicate. The control group was fed the basal diet, and the experimental group was supplemented with 1.5% and 3% compound probiotics in the basal diet, respectively. The prefeeding period was 7 days, and the experimental period was 42 days.To investigate the effects of compound probiotics on egg laying performance and egg quality of laying quails.the result shows:1.Compared with the control group, the egg production rate of the experimental group increased by 0.69% and 1.41% respectively(P>0.05);the average egg weight increased by1.74% and 3.53% respectively(P<0.05);the 21 d Hastelloy unit increased by 16.00% and12.11% respectively(P<0.05).The proportion of egg yolk on 42 d increased by 8.02% and8.32% respectively(P<0.05).Adding compound probiotics to the diet can improve egg production performance and egg quality.2.Compared with the control group, the apparent metabolic rates of calcium and phosphorus in the experimental group were increased by 60.2%、77%(P<0.05),5.7%、12.8%(P>0.05),respectively.Adding compound microecological preparations to the diet can promote the digestion and absorption of nutrients in the intestines of laying quails, improve the feed conversion rate, and promote bone development and eggshell formation.3.Compared with the control group, the cholesterol content of egg yolk in the experimental group was decreased by 27.67% and 4.73% respectively(P>0.05);the content of triglyceride was decreased by 55.36% and 34.65% respectively(P<0.05);the lipase activity was increased by 33.41% and 48.54% respectively(P>0.05).The addition of compound probiotics to the diet can reduce the cholesterol content of egg yolk and improve the lipid metabolism level of laying quail, but it has no significant effect on the antioxidant level of egg yolk.4.Compared with the control group, the serum total protein level of the experimental group increased by 0.86% and 8.3%(P>0.05);the alanine aminotransferase activity decreased by 19.1% and 62.7% respectively(P<0.05);the blood glucose concentration decreased by12.11% and 12.11% respectively.8.54%(P>0.05).The addition of compound probiotics to the diet of the experimental group could improve the liver metabolism,anti-stress ability and fat metabolism of egg-laying quail. In conclusion, dietary compound probiotics with different proportions can improve performance, feed conversion rate and intestinal nutrient digestion and absorption, improve egg quality, and reduce oxidative damage and yolk cholesterol content of laying quails. Therefore,it is recommended to add 3% compound probiotics to the diet of laying quails to improve egg quality, production performance, feed conversion rate, and reduce cholesterol content in egg yolk.
