Machobracjhium Rosenbergii were allotted into five groups randomly. The control group were fed with basal diet, the others were the treated groups fed with basal diet supplemented with0.05%, 0.1%, 0.20%, 0.4% anthraquinones extracted for 8 week, respectively. Then index of growth, immunity and anti-oxidation were determined at NO.2, 4, 6, 8weeks, infection tests were processed at NO.6week and then index of immunity and anti-oxidation were determined, and congestion test was processed at NO.8week and then ability of anti-stress was determined.1.Effect of anthraquinones extracted from Rheum officinale Bail on growth of M.rosenbergiiThe results showed that, compared with the control, anthraquinones extracted could help to elevate mean Weight, mean length, weight gains rate, length gain rate and specific growth rate, but the levels did not correlate with the dose of the anthraquinones extracted. Compared with the control, for the mean Weight, 0.4%dose group of NO.2 week, 0.1% and 0.4%dose group of NO.6week, 0.1% dose group of NO.8week were significantly elevated(P<0.05); for the weight gains rate, 0.1% and 0.4%dose group of NO.6week, 0.1% and 0.2%dose group of NO.8week were significantly elevated(P<0.05); for the specific growth rate, the maximum value of each group were on NO.2 week, and 0.2%dose group of NO.2,6,8week were significantly elevated(P<0.05); for the mean length, 0.1% dose group of NO.6,8week and 0.4% dose group of NO.2week were significantly elevated(P<0.05); for the length gain rate, 0.4% dose group of NO.2,6week and 0.1% dose group of NO.6week were significantly elevated(P<0.05). Besides, anthraquinones extracted could help to decrease the feed coefficient, elevate hepatopancreas index, compared with the control, feed coefficient of 0.1% dose group was decreased significantly(P<0.05); hepatopancreas index of 0.2% dose group was elevated significantly (P<0.05).2.Effect of anthraquinones extracted from Rheum officinale Bail on immunity and anti-oxidation of M. rosenbergiiThe results showed that, anthraquinones extracted could help to elevate lysozyme levels and nitrous oxide(NO) levels of serum and hepatopancreas. Compared with the control, 0.05% dose group of NO.Sweek was significantly elevated by 34.19% (P<0.05), and meanwhile significantly elevated by 17.52% (P<0.05) when compared with 0.05% dose group of NO.4week. Serum NO levels correlate with the dose of the anthraquinones extracted and rare time, the maximum value (14.22mmol/ml) appeared at 0.4% dose group of NO.8week and elevated by 11.63%compared with control. Compared with the control, hepatopancreas lysozyme and NO levels of treated groups were elevated beside lysozyme levels of 0.1% dose group of NO.2week, and NO levels of 0.2% dose group of NO.6week were significantly elevated by 32.65% (P<0.05). For the index of anti-oxidation, compared with the control, total antioxidative capacity(T-AOC), Glutathione Peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity and Catalase(CAT) activity of treated groups were elevated, but maleic dialdehyde(MDA)depressed. Thereinto, T-AOC of 0.05% dose group of NO.6,8week were significantly elevated(P<0.05); MDA of 0.4% dose group of NO.Sweek was significantly depressed (P<0.05); CAT of 0.4% dose group of NO.6,8week were sinificantly elevated (P<0.05); but there is no difference of serum GSH-Px activity between treated groups and the control.3.Influence of anthraquinones extracted from Rheum officinale Bail on promoting M.rosenbergii's resistance to Vibrio anguillarumResults of infected test I showed that, serum lysozyme activity, hepatopancreas lysozyme levels held a trend mounted up initially but down followed, compared with the control, serum lysozyme activity of 0.4% dose group of 12h were significantly elevated (P<0.05); the maximum value of hepatopancreas lysozyme levels of 0.1% dose group, 0.2% dose group and 0.4% dose group appeared at 48h,24h,12h respectively and significantly elevated (P<0.05), also, 0.1% dose group of 48h and 0.4% dose group of 24h were significantly elevated (P<0.05); for the index of anti-oxidation, serum T-AOC held a trend mounted up initially but down followed, hepatopancreas superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity held a trend mounted up but serum MDA depressed in 48h. Compared with the control, for serum T-AOC, 0.1% dose group and 0.4% dose group of Oh, 0.4% dose group of 48h were significantly elevated (P<0.05); serum MDA of 0.05% dose group of 24h was significantly depressed by 28.47% (P<0.05); for hepatopancreas SOD activity, 0.1% dose group of 12h and 24h, 0.2% dose group and 0.4% dose group of 24h were significantly elevated (P<0.05). Results of infected testⅡshowed that, the anthraquinones extractes decreased mortality but elevated the protective rate of M.rosenbergii infected with V.anguillarum, and effect of 0.4%dose group was best of all.4. Effect of anthraquinones extracted from Rheum officinale Bail on anti-stress of M. rosenbergiiResults of crowding stress test showed that, serum total protein(TP) and cholesterin of each group held a trend mounted up initially but down followed, serum glucose held a trend mounted up but serum triglycerides depressed in 48h. Compared with the control, variation degree of these serum biochemical indexes of treated groups were relieved to some extent. Thereinto, serum TP of the control was significantly elevated (P<0.05) compared with 0.05% dose group of 12h, but significantly depressed (P<0.05) compared with 0.2% and 0.4% dose group of 48h; serum glucose of the control was significantly elevated (P<0.05) compared with 0.05%,0.1%,0.2% dose group of 12h; serum triglycerides of the control was significantly depressed by 45.95% (P<0.05) compared with 0.4% dose group of 48h. For the index of anti-oxidation of hepatopancreas, CAT of each group held a trend mounted up initially but down followed, MDA held a trend mounted up but SOD rapidly depressed in 48h. Thereinto, CAT of the control was differently depressed (P<0.05) compared with 0.2% dose group of 24h and 48h; SOD of the control was significantly depressed (P<0.05) compared with 0.05% and 0.2% dose group of 24h; MDA of the control was differently elevated by 76.00% (P<0.05) compared with 0.2% dose group of 48h. In addition, mortality of M.rosenbergii after crowding stress had mounted up, and mortality of 0.2% dose group of 48h the control was significantly depressed by 62.50%(P<0.05) compared with the control.
