To study the physiological index of Jersey, including PH, infusorium activeness, microorganism activeness, total nitrogen content, bacterium proteide, protozoon proteide, VFA, and after adding different levels of additive, such as isobutyric acid, isopentoic acid, monensin in vitro culture of the ruminal physiological index, the Jersey cow in Guangxi livestock research institute were used to determine. Experiment results as follows:1,The ruminal environment parametric: PH range was between 6.5~7.0, time of methylenicoerulei redox indirect reaction was between 5~6 minutes, the infusorium activeness was +++, VFA content was 87.349±31.522 mmol/L, total nitrogen content was 0.762±0.040 mg/ml, protozoon proteide content was 0.162±0.017 mg/ml, bacterium proteide content was 0.260±0.007 mg/ml, the proportion of acetic acid, Propanoic acid, butyric acid was 75:20:10 in VFA ratio. Because of the limited of experiment condition, it is determined part of physiological index of the rumen, the study already has achieved the aim which to offer some general index of jersey cow for application.2,To determine the ruminal physiological index after selected dosages, the results as follows: the physiological index of the rumen liquid was effected in different extent after adding the different additives, the activity of the ciliophoran was increased; time of redox reaction was shorter than normal; the content of total nitrogen was increased and the difference was significant after adding isobutyric acid; the difference is not significant after adding isovalerianic acid and monensin; the content of VFA was much higher than normal and the difference was significant after adding isobutyric acid; and the VFA content was decreased after adding monensin, but the difference was not significant. The proportion of acetic acid and propanoic acid, and the proportion of acetic acid, butyric acid and propanoic acid are increased in a little, the same as adding ectopia acid, because of the major part energy that the ruminant body needs come from the conversion acetic acid in rumen metabolize, it indicated that to increase the contents of acetic acid not only could increase ATP of the animal body, but also could increase butterfat rate.
