The research subject hereby is based on the popular double-pinning technology in China for cultivating Pleurotus eryngii year-round in bags,to optimize the main parameters of the cultivation process, with the aid of systematic analysis of data collected during the experiment.Optimum conditions are given for cultivation of Pleurotus eryngii with present conditions in China.1.Optimization of substrate formulation for the cultivation of Pleurotus eryngiiMixture designed is used to optimize the formulation of substrate using cotton seed hulls, corn cob,saw-dust and wheat bran.It is found that the yield increased with a reasonable increase of wheat bran volume while preparing the substrate. The figures from the experiment are calculated with extreme vertex design and regression equations for the yield and formulation, cycle and formulation are given, with which, an optimized formulation is produced for cultivation Pleurotus eryngii:10.5%cotton seed hulls,30.7%corn cobs,22.8%saw-dust,and 29%wheat bran.2.Optimization of moisture content in substrate for the cultivation of Pleurotus eryngiiMoisture content in the substrate is critical for achieving high yield and quality. With the experiment done,it is confirmed that optimum moisture content in the substrate is 66%.High biological efficiency is up to 68%.3.Opitimization of the PH of substrate of the cultivation of Pleurotus eryngiiSubstrate, the PH value of the edible fungus mycelium has direct impact on the level of cell metabolism and the completion of the entire life cycle. The experiment, in the cultivation of Pleurotus eryngii to Cotton Seed Hull, wood chips,corn-cob, mainly raw materials, such as wheat bran circumstances, the PH value control in the medium most suited to 6.5.For the shortest period of 56 days is up to 295 g production.4.Optimization of bag size and filling weightThe experiment based upon bag size and the quantity of filling shows that after the first harvest, the optimum amount of filling is 1100-1200g.Results also revealed that the ideal size of half the circumference of the cultivation bag should be 17 cm and 17.5 cm.Under the condition of proper management, the biological efficiency can be maintained at approximately 69%,while the entire cycle can end in 58 days.5.Optimization time of bag cultivationVariances in the incubation period of Pleurotus eryngii mycelial will influence the growth of mycelial as well as production, quality, the fruiting period, and uniform degree. After the completion of the experiment, results showed that the incubation period is between 38-43 days for the mycelium to cover the entire bag, also including an added 10-15 days for the mycelium to mature. The production output will amount to 290-300g.Additionally,the shape of the fruit body is desirable, which meets the complete requirements of mushroom goods. The growth cycle is also shortened to 57-61 days.6.Comparative optimization of different growing fungusUnder the same circumstances of cultivation management, the standard bag opening yields a low production output. However, compared to scratching, the level of technology required is not high.As the mycelium quickly fuses together, the level of contamination is low, also shortening the fruiting body period.Furthermore, from the practicality of the operation technology, the standard bag opening eliminates the tedious and laborious scratching operation, making it more simple and efficient,as well as saving time and effort.
