It is one of important virescence plants in china and world.Ornamental banboom is widely used in city Greenland in China It not only have a typical regionally character,but also contains profound thoughts and culture.Especially ,it forms a unique thoughts about bamboo in China.So,it is very important and significative to study the application of ornamental bamboo in city greenland in China. With the way of investigation ,taking photos in twenty parks in shanghai and reading others'papers ,many important and basic information has been collected.It is from the aspects of resource,configuration,growth environment,culture, aesthetic property, the actuality of application in parks of Shanghai to study and analyze the ornamental bamboo through the way of analytical method, induction and fuzzy mathematics.It totally have six chapter in this paper. The first chapter is the prolegomenon ,mainly about the background, contents,method ,purpose and signification of the study and some information about the relative progress of the domestic and abroad study.The second is to analyse the resource of the bamboo in the world ,china and Shanghai,especially to analyse the characteristic ,distribution and use of ornamental bamboo in Shanghai.The third and fourth chapter is mainly about the analyse of ornamental bamboo in configuration,growth, culture and aesthetic property and also discuss the valuce and significance of the application of ornamental bamboo in city creenland. The fifth chapter is about the appraisement of 15 kinds of bamboo which are in common use in Shanghai.The sixth chapter is about bamboo's growth actuality and the way of plant plan and design in 20 parks of Shanghai and the significance of bamboo's application in city Greenland.It is also about the discussion of scarcity of ornamental bamboo's application in landscape architecture ,and some methods to avoid these problems in practice.The last part of paper is the conclution and suggestion. The paper is mainly about the study of the application of ornamental bamboo in greenland in park of Shanghai.it is in order to attract people to pay attention to the study of application of ornamental bamboo in city greenland and to make it used more widely in city park and Greenland.But compared with the shrub and arbor ,bamboo is easily destroyed in the nature,such as heavy snow,so it need to pay attention to avoid it and go deep into studying.
