The white goose,distributed in the west of Anhui Provinces,a excellent local breed white medium-sized body weight,with the high body,outstanding temperament,arched neck,wide chest and broad back,spotlessly white feathers,orange beak,orangr-red shin and web,and white claw.This kind of goose originates in the Hilly area in the west part of Anhui Province and Gushi area in Henan Province,mainly in the Counties of Huoqiu,Shou,Lu'an,Feixi,Shucheng,Changfeng and several counties in Guishi area of Henan Province.This kind of goose is famous for its huge body,the rapid growth and development in the early periods,the stronger resistance of disease and coarse feed, with little feed,and the good quality of the meat and so on.Especially for the high output and quality of its down at home and abroad.This research is aimed to provide a reference for the white goose's industrial development in the west part of Anhui provinces,beginning from making a survey of the present condition of white goose's feeding,production and protection and through the analysis of the problems that exist in the white goose's industrial development.The problems that exist in the white goose's industrial development are such as: choosing the best varieties,the reproductive systems,the breeding methods,research and development,disease prevention and control,the levels of butchering and processing,and the ability of leading enterprises.Several major tasks and strategies existing in white goose's industrial development are follows:To strengthen the construction of the breeding and reproductive systems;To strengthen the related production technology research;To promote industrial upgrading;To promote the bleeding methods to have a fundamental change actively;To take the safety,superior quality and high efficiency as the ultimate goal of development;Strive to improve the processing capacity of white goose;To increase the support of the government policy;To make great efforts to cultivate leading enterprises and a well-known brands.
