Pinellia ternata Breit is a perennial herb of Pinellia Tenore. It is a kind of alleviate pain, anticancer, antimedicine and improve intellect having good prospect of exploitation.Pinellia ternata is a kind of traditional Chinese herb, which is cultivated in Tianshui city Gansu province in recent years. Without any artificial breed varieties, this research is for the purpose of select some wildly varieties which come from different regions of Tianshui, and find similarities and differences of them at the biology character, yields, quality. With the experiment to analyze and select wildly varieties which is suitable as the seedling source to apply production directly, in order to made the foundation for the reasonable use and new variety's selective breeding of Pinellia ternate.This research cultivated different kinds of wild tuber of Pinellia ternata from varies regions of Tianshui under same cultural conditions, thorough analysisde and researched differences in growth rhythm, botany characteristic , yields, total alkaloid and total protein content of tuber. The following are main findings:1. Planted Pinellia ternata under the condition of elevation 1140m respectively, we discovered that:①There are weak correlation about elevation with the time takes from emerges to heading, and the heading rate, single turber weight, but with weak anti-correlation with the stem size, time the plant needs from sprouting to sprout tumble, the single leaf area to assume the weak anti-correlation.②The average stem size weakly related with the yield, and time needs from sprouting to sprout tumble.③Heading rate is remarkable related the yield, single turber weight, and the accumulated temperature from seeds to sprouting day. Height is remarkable related leaf areas. and display high related with the petiole diameter.④There are high related with single turber weight and the time plants takes from sprouting to heading, Heading days ,single weights display obviously related with heading rate separately; During time of sprouting tumble and heading rate also high related⑤Other biology characteristics all being weakly related or the inverse correlation.2. The total alkaloid, the total protein content is extremely remarkable different for varies samples of Pinellia ternata and size grades.Regardless of which samples of Pinellia ternata, alkaloid content during various size grades always displays: big grain > grain > little grain; High alkaloid content samples'big-size grain always get more alkaloid content than low-alkaloid-content samples'; Same as middle-size grains, this performance homogeneity at minor-size, but sometimes meets in turn..On the contrary, the trend of total protein content for various size grades always displays: minor grain > grain > big grain3. The Pinellia ternata has 3 valley values and 4 peak in the entire period of duration total alkaloid or the total protein's content, the first valley value is emerged when plant consumes nutrient in the tuber, the 2nd peak is creates before the heading as nutrient rapid accumulation, the second valley value because of blossoms, the 3rd peak is created after the head dryings nutrient accumulation, the 3rd valley appeared when bud expands and the nutrient ion be consumption rapidly, when bead bud expands, stem accumulated once more, therefore were formed the 4th peak. 1st peak is before the planting.4. Making reference to the standard appraisement of gardening crop, mark the integrated evaluation of Pinellia ternate. The conclusion is as flow: the P. ternate collected from Jinchuan, Gangu and Qingting, Qingshui are the good ermplasm for introduction.
