The sustainable development of forest resources plays a vital role in the sound development of national economy, however, forest fires endanger the forest resources hugely, so how to reduce the harm of forest resources is becoming a key issue of protecting the forest resources. China invests much money to reduce the forest fires, and the investigation of disaster reduction is increasingly increased. The benefits'level of disaster reduction impacts the effectiveness of forest resources protection. In view of this, this thesis does the research of disaster reduction of the forest fires.This thesis does the research of disaster reduction of the forest fires, basing on the basic theory of disaster economics and analyzing from the viewpoint of economics, in order to theoretically guides that how to improve the practical activities of forest fires disaster reduction. The thesis introduces some basic theories firstly, and then analyses the related theory of forest fires disaster damage assessment from the aspects of the classification of forest fires disaster losses and calculation methods, lately, evaluates the effectiveness of Inner Mongolia forest fires disaster reduction, according to the method of disaster reduction assessment and the forest fires losses and inputs of Inner Mongolia. The results show that disaster reduction effectiveness of Inner Mongolia forest fires is positive, that is, the effectiveness of Inner Mongolia is good. In the end, the writer proposes the basic method of how to improve the reduction effectiveness of forest fires, and benefits related conclusions of forest fires disaster reduction, according to the research condition of this thesis, in order to improve effectiveness of forest fires disaster reduction.
