Polymorphism Analysis Of MxA Gene In Different Horses

MxA protein is induced by typeⅠinterferon(IFNα/β) and has broad-spectrum antiviral activities.their inhibition effects on many RNA viruses and some DNA viruses were found.Even one amino acid variation in MxA protein will lead to the change of its antiviral activity.The study provided a basis for exploring the antiviral effect of MxA protein.According to the sequence of equine MxA gene announced in GenBank,the primers were designed. As a result of PCR-SSCP,the transversion of G→A in 2018th and A→G in 1979th of Thirteen Exon cDNA lead to Amino acids mutation of GGA→GAA and ACT→GCT.This point mutation existed only in Wushen horse and Wuzhumuqin horse while not in the other three species,suggesting that this site was related with variation and species.
