Post Occupancy Evaluation Of Greenland On Campus

Landscape of University's campus is an important factor that affects the campus image,life of students and teachers. With the development of the society and economy,the construction of campus has been in full swing for recent several years in our country. However,the landscaping has not attracted enough attention yet,the mature theory of landscaping is at the exploratory stage as well. In this paper,according to theories and methods of environmental psychology,making use of the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process(viz. AHP) and Semantic Differential (viz. SD),using Excel and SAS to analyse data,a post occupancy evaluation of landscape of Minhang campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University is formed through the evaluation of the whole landscape image and the user's subjective impression, and a reasonable suggestion for transformation of landscape of Minhang campus is attained,and some design principles of university's campus are drawn.The results:1,By analysis the survey data,the result shows that the post occupancy evaluation of Shanghai Jiao Tong University is good. Users think highly of greening effect and vegetative landscape,but consider the greenland is lack of culture landscape and constructions,and is unbalance in different areas.2,With the analysis of the survey data ,the post occupancy evaluation of Shanghai Jiao Tong University is attained. Corresponding design principle of university's campus are as follows:integrity,ecological,comfort,civilization.3,The working procedure of post occupancy evaluation of campus is setup according to theories and methods of environmental psychology. It contains the evaluation of the whole landscape image and the evaluation of the user's subjective impression. The first stage formed a factor set for the evaluation of the whole landscape image including 4 primary factors and 17 secondary factors:the overall landscape,waterscape,construction and vegetative landscape;the second stage formed a factor set for the evaluation of the user's subjective impression including 4 primary factors and 19 secondary factors:comfort,environmental cognition,management,sense of place. Then,investigate the evaluation of factors and analyse the survey data.
