Two hundred and forty 10-day-old Avian broilers were used to investigate the detoxifying effect of three mycotoxin adsorbents including esterified glucomannan (EGM), hydrated sodium calcium aluminosilicate (HSCAS) and compound mycotoxin adsorbent (CMA) in broilers fed mold-contaminated diets. The broilers were divided into five groups(six replicates/group and eight birds/replicate). The five groups included:①control groups;②mold-contaminated group;③0.05% EGM group;④0.2% HSCAS group;⑤0.1% CMA group.Growth performance of each period were determined. At the age of 30-33 day-old, feces were collected from each replicate to determine digestibility. At the age of 35-day-old, blood was collected to determine white blood cell differential count, biochemical indicators and IgG levels. Following blood collection, the broilers were slaughtered and the tissues were collected for further analysis. The results showed that:Mold-contaminated feed significantly reduced growth performance, digestibility of fat and phosphorus (P<0.05). 0.05% EGM had a trend to alleviate the negative effects caused by mold-contaminated feed (P>0.05). 0.2% HSCAS prevent the increase of F/G in 10-21d and 21-35d,. ADG, ADFI in 35-42d and digestibility of phosphorus have returned to normal (P<0.05). 0.1% CMA prevent the decrease of ADG in 10-21d and 10-42d and ADFI in 35-42d, digestibility of fat and phosphorus have returned to normal (P<0.05).The improvement of three mycotoxin adsorbents on meat quality is almost the same.Mold-contaminated feed inhibited the development of thymus and Bursa F (P<0.05). 0.05% EGM had a trend to alleviate the suppression of immune organs caused by moldy feed (P>0.05). 0.2% HSCAS alleviated the suppression of thymus atrophy (P<0.05). 0.1% CMA prevented the depression of Bursa F atrophy (P<0.05). Moldy feed have no effects on white blood cell differential count (P>0.05), 0.05% EGM and 0.1% CMA also have no effect on white blood cell differential count (P>0.05), 0.05% EGM, 0.2% HSCAS and 0.1% CMA did not prevent the increase of IgG caused by moldy feed.Mold-contaminated feed damaged liver tissue, the activity of serum AST and GGT significantly increased (P<0.05), the level of GLB decreased (P<0.05). 0.05% EGM prevent the increase of AST and GGT (P<0.05), 0.2% HSCAS prevent the increase of AST and decrease of GLB (P<0.05). Moldy feed significantly decreased SOD activity and increased MPO activity (P<0.05). 0.05% EGM and 0.2%HSCAS basically prevent the decline of MPO activity (P<0.05). 0.1% CMA alleviated the decline in antioxidant capacity (P>0.05). Mold-contaminated feed significantly reduced villus height and increased crypt depth and villus width (P<0.05), 0.05% EGM have a trend to alleviate the decrease in villus width and increase in crypt depth (P>0.05). 0.2% HSCAS prevent the reduction of villus height and crypt depth in duodenum and jejunum (P<0.05). 0.1% CMA prevent the reduction of villus height in duodenum and jejunum (P<0.05). Mold-contaminated group can see obvious fatty degeneration, lymphocyte proliferation and vascular congestion. 0.05% EGM group only have a small amount of fatty degeneration, 0.2% HSCAS group have less bleeding and less variability, 0.1 % compound mycotoxin adsorbent group basically normal. These results indicate that, moldy feed decreased broiler growth performance and nutrient digestibility, inhibited the development of immune organs, damaged liver and intestine function. Three mycotoxin adsorbent alleviated the negative effect to some extent, of which the best is 0.1% CMA.
