Study On The Provenance Variation Of Main Economic Characters For Sarcandra Glabra

This paper reveals the main growth traits and secondary metabolites of genetic variation law, breeding superior varieties for the main purposes. Provenance trials and HPLC analysis of Sarcandra glabra from Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangxi, Guangdong, Guizhou, Anhui, Sichuan and Yunnan Province were carried out. The major results were as follows:1. There was significant difference in height and diameter growth, capacity of sprout tillers, biomass of Sarcandra glabra from different provenances. The geographic variation of growth height and fresh weight was obviously, and the longitude was highly significant negative related with them. The correlation among the growth height, diameter, capacity of sprout tillers and biomass of Sarcandra glabra was significantly positive, possessed a good genetic stability.2. Study on Photosynthetic characteristics of Sarcandra glabra, the results showed that light saturation point of different strains of Sarcandra glabra were about 800μmol·m-2·s-1, light compensation point of them were between 14.70μmol·m-2·s-1~48.68μmol·m-2·s-1..The diurnal changes of photosynthetic rate presented a double-apex curve, and the phenomenon of"noon- break"appeared. The diurnal change of net photosynthetic rate (Pn) was influenced by, CO2 concentration (CO2S) , intercellular CO2 concentration (Ci), transpiration rate (Tr), Leaf temperature (Tleaf) and Stomatal conductance (Gs).3. There were the mass fraction differences of the main active ingredients in Sarcandra glabra between wild and cultivation trials. There was a certain law of the variation between the different trials according to different mass fractions of the main active components. The species of the main active components with a higher concentration were distributed in the center distributing area. It coincided with"centers of crop origin Doctrine" said by the Soviet Union and agronomist namedН.И. botanist Vavilov's4. HPLC Chromatogram of the constituents which fully reflected chemical characteristics in Sarcandra glabra was established. The results showed that there were significantly difference in the relative peak area of common components in different samples (RSD varied from 35.22 ~ 152.4%). This showed that the quality of Sarcandra glabra from different provenances was significantly different. Therefore, breeding for quality and implementation of multi-indicators quality control is an important way to make medicinal Sarcandra glabra safety and quality control.
