Study On The Design Of DUS Testing Guideline For New Varieties Of Osmanthus Fragrans

DUS testing guideline is the foundation of DUS test for plant new varieties, the important content for essential examination of application varieties done by approving authority, the important basis to decide weather grant variety right, and will provide scientific basis for the solution of infringement disputes. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to design a DUS testing guideline for new varieties of Osmanthus fragrans. Results as followes:1.On the basis of consulting document, related theories of plant variety protection and development trend were studied, according to the research, the design of DUS testing guideline for new varieties of Osmanthus fragrans has important practical significance.2.Through the investigation of Osmanthus fragrans of Fujian and other provinces, The biological and ecological characteristics, morphological characteristics and taxonomy traits of Osmanthus fragrans were analysed, and previous record was supplemented.3. based On the general directives of UPOV and DUS Testing guideline of other vareities, the compilation method of DUS testing guideline for new varieties of Osmanthus fragrans was determined.4.Through investigation, the content of DUS testing guideline was determined, which include general technical requirement, 41 more stable testing guidline characters, which were classified, graded and coded, the reference standard varieties and explanation on some characteristics, as well as technology questionnaire. On the basis of results, the DUS testing guideline for new varieties of Osmanthus fragrans was designed.5.123Varieties were chosed as varieties of common knowedge of Osmanthus fragrans, at the same time, according to DUS testing guideline for new varieties of Osmanthus fragrans, database for varieties of common knowedge was established.
