The study focuses on Lonicera japonica Thunb.'Yate', Lonicera japonica var. chinensis'Yate Red', Lonicera japonica Thunb.'Yate Green'and Lonicera japonica Thunb.'Yate Stand'. These four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb were introduced to Linyi. The phenological properties and the ecological adaptability, such as temperature, soil, illumination and of those plants were observed. The techniques of propagation and cultivation were studied. Providing a theoretical basis for application and good breeding. The result of the experiment shows:1. Phenological observation showed that , in Linyi , four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. sprouted new buds in March, presented flower buds late April to the beginning of May, picked the first stubble flower in first half of May to late May, the fruits were ripe in late half of November, entered the winter stage after December . Phenophase of Lonicera japonica Thunb.'Yate Green'and Lonicera japonica Thunb.'Yate Stand'were similar to Lonicera japonica Thunb.'ji zhao hua'. Phenophase of Lonicera japonica Thunb.'Yate'and Lonicera japonica var. chinensis'Yate Red'were early about 7d.So four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. could complete a life cycle in Linyi.2. The biology habits of four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. did not change basically and all eminent characters were reserved in Linyi. The regional tests of Linyi show that,yield per plant of 4-year-old of four varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. Were 0.85kg,0.37kg,1.01kg and 0.97kg in turn,chlorogenle acid of four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. were 4.53%,4.84%,4.90% and 4.95%. Yield per plant, chlorogenle acid, anti-pollution ability, Landscape value of four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. were higher than the comparison Lonicera japonica Thunb.'ji zhao hua'.3. Four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. adaptated the environmental condition of Linyi, could growth normal under convention cultural technique, and needn't the special protective measures. Ability of resistance cold and heat of four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. was stronger than Lonicera japonica Thunb. 'da mao hua'and Lonicera japonica Thunb.'ji zhao hua'of Linyi by measuring the relative conductivity of Lonicera japonica. Safety winter rate was more than 95% in Linyi. By sunshine experiment, four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. were no significant difference in 70% entire light and entire light. but shoot growth, the total number of leaves and chlorogenle acid in 30% entire light were significant difference in 70% entire light and entire light. So four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb happied light, but also had tolerance. Four varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. were able to bear the waterlogging and drought. Observing through more than 4 years, there was no drought and waterlogging in 8 district test of Linyi. By being cultivated in a pot , drought-resistant critical humidity of four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. were 6.06%,6.02%,6.10%,5.98% in turn,that was similar with Lonicera japonica Thunb.'ji zhao hua'(6.21%). The result of 8 district test of Linyi showed that four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. adapted each kind of soil in Linyi.Chlorogenle acid and Yield per plant were higher than Lonicera japonica Thunb.'ji zhao hua'. Four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. beared infertile, anti-salt alkaloid(Salinity was lower than 0.4%), not serious plant disease, They didn't have buliang the ecology consequence.4. Four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. could reproduce normally through sowing, cutting, layering, division and grafting act, all fine characters were reserved. Cutting is main method.'NAA2.0(mg/L)+IBA0.15+6-BA0.1+IAA0.2'were induced root to improve cutting survival rate of Lonicera japonica var. chinensis'Yate Red'.5. Four new varieties of Lonicera japonica Thunb. can not only be used in medicinal but also watching ,soil and water conservation, feed, pesticide plant act. The prospects of application will be broad .
