Maked use of forages to produce cellulosic ethanol; biodiesel and carbon grass is the emerging research subject on current China or even world. It plays an important role in reducing consumption of foodstuffs and fossil fuels, and the development of human society to meet the demand for energy, and the protection the development of the national economy. In this study, in order to filter the North of fine cellulosic ethanol; biodiesel and carbon grass, and to exploit the luxuriant resources of forages adequately in north, used of 16 kinds of common northern plants as a material, according to the biological characteristics of energy plants; combined with northern China soil; climate and other significant difference between the actual situation, using Fuzzy Relation Matrix and"Expert-Choice"AHP analysis software, from the chemical composition; biomass production; ecological adaptability and calorific value, twelve indicators four indexes evaluate the value of the energy plants. The 16 kinds of northern plants were Triarrhena sacchariflora,Panicum virgatum ,Astragalus adsurgens,Pennisetum Hybrid,Spartina anglica,Medicago sativa,Bromus inermis,S.bicolor×S.sudanese,Phragmites communis,Lespedeza bicolor,Artemisia ordosica,Lespedeza hedysaroides,Elymus dahuricus,Caragana korshinskii, Hedysarum futicosum ,Achnatherum splendens . At the same time,compared the utilization situation of the carbon plants per unit area. Furthermore, analyzed the extraction biodiesel by gas chromatogram in order to analyzing the feasibility of the forage as an biodiesel.The results show that: (1)The weighing of different plants from the chemical composition, yield traits, ecological adaptability andcalorific value were: yield traits(0.4583)> chemical composition(0.2891)>(0.1733)>(0.0792).This rating system could more accurately assessment the using index of plants producing ethanol;(2) Triarrhena sacchariflora,Panicum virgatum,Astragalus adsurgens, Pennisetum Hybrid purpureum are most suitable energy utilization index for fuel ethanol. On account of lower production of biomass,Artemisia ordosica,Lespedeza hedysaroides, Elymus dahuricus,Achnatherum splendens, Caragana korshinskii ,Hedysarum fruticosum had higher content of cellulose and hemicellulose but the index of use is still poor. Spartina anglica,Medicago sativa, Bromus inermis, S.bicolor×S.sudanese,Phragmites communis,Lespedeza bicolor must also have potential for development;(3) As the standard Panicum virgatum , the yield per unit area of Astragalus adsurgens and Triarrhena sacchariflora convert into standard coal were higher than that of Panicum virgatum 14.57t/hm2, respectively 24.59t/hm2 and 23.92t/hm2. They can exploit immediately as suited firewood in northern region. (4) The major components of biodiesel forecast the situation distributed of the Fatty Acid Methyl Ester by that of fatty acid, the same of the relative content. The output order of grease was: Astragalus huangheens > Pennisetum Hybrid > Triarrhena sacchariflora > Medicago sativa > Artemisia ordosica > Bromus inermis> Spartina anglica > Lespedeza bicolor > Elymus dahuricus > Caragana korshinskii > Panicum virgatum > Phragmites communis > Lespedeza hedysaroides > Achnatherum splendens> Hedysarum fruticosum> S.bicolor×S.sudanese. In which, the grease output of Medicago sativa , Astragalus huangheens, Triarrhena sacchariflora ,Artemisia ordosica, Achnatherum splendens, Pennisetum americanum purpureum were all higher than the standard Spartina anglica.The most production was Astragalus huangheens 0.937 t/hm~2, or about 2.08 times the standard, the minimum S.bicolor×S.sudanese only 0.105 t/hm2.
