Analysis Of The Correlations Between GHSR Gene Polymorphism And Carcass Traits In Rabbit

Intronl sequence of growth hormone secretagogue receptor(GHSR) gene of rabbits was cloned and sequenced for the first time(GenBank Accession Number:FJ770411). Single nucleotide polymorphism in the coding sequence of growth hormone secretagogue receptor(GHSR) gene was detected by PCR-SSCP and DNA sequencing in 6 breeds including Haerbing white rabbit,Tianfu black rabbit,Belgian hare,ZIKA rabbit,Hotot rabbit and California rabbit,and the effect of genotypes on performance traits was studied by GLM analysis.The results were as follows:2 SNPs including SNP+472(T→C)and SNP+3121(T→C)was studied by PCR-SSCP in 6 rabbit.It is showed that 2 allele(denoted as M and N) and 3 genotype(denoted asMM,MN and NN)was detected in 472bp site,PIC value of six group was higher than 0.25,is medium polymor.2 allele(denoted as A and B) and 3 genotype(denoted as AA, AB and BB)was detected in 3121bp site,PIC value of Belgian hare and California rabbit was higher than 0.25,is medium polymor,The rest is low polymorphism.In the analysis of the correlation between GHSR gene and the carcass trait by using the data of these six breeds respectively,at locus SNP+472,the least squares means of Cooked-meat percentage had significant difference between MM and NN genotype (P＜0.05);at locus SNP+3121,the least squares means of Body weight,Visceraste weight had significant difference between AA and BB genotype(P＜0.01),the least squares means of Cooked-meat percentage had significant difference between AA and BB genotype (P＜0.05),the least squares means of Body weight,half-Visceraste weight percentage had significant difference between AB and BB genotype(P＜0.05),the least squares means of Cooked-meat percentage had significant difference between AA and AB genotype(P＜0.05). GHSR gene could be a candidate modifier gene that affect or control the body weight and Production traits of rabbits.
