This article is about the damaged mountain body of Taishan Pumped Storage Power Station.The vegetation restoration effective of damaged mountain body will be showed in this article,the results are based on the way of integrate field investigation and lab analysis.The purpose of this article are prevent the soil erosion,guarantee the station's normal work,achieve the accord development between natural landscape and human landscape,support the decision-making basis and technical support for the vegetation restoration of the damaged mountain body.The article showed 36 site types and the division is based on principal factor method,analysised the site characteristics and the obstacle factors in vegetation restoration,investigated the soil physical and chemicl properties dynamic laws in 3 years about 7 representative plots, analysised the vegetation growth status in different measures and time-varying rules,evalutated the adaptablity of 22 kinds plants in study area vegetation restoration progress, the results will support foundation for vegetation restoration of damaged mountain body.The major results are as follows:1.The mainly influence factors of damaged mountain body site types are appearance,slope angle,height,soil thickness and gravel content and the resnlts are based on investagation and analysis results of the vegetation recovery complexity.The division site types in the damaged mountain body of mountain Tai pumped storage power station are mining slope with rock,mining slope with thin soil,mining slope with middling soil,dam body with nude rock, abandoned dreg site with middling soil,which is based on scalar quantization method and analysised 5 site factors with cluster analysis method,and,it was divided into 5 classes and 11 subclasses.The characteristics, vegetation restoration and pathway of vegetation restorration are different in different site type.The vegetation mining slope with middling soil and thin soil are easy to recovery,but the mining slope with nude rock is difficulty. According to the difference of 5 site types ,the vegetation restoration measures should be different which based on principle of adaptation to local conditions.2.The vegetation restoration measures of mountain Tai can effective improve the canopy density .The expected effect about landscape rebuilding, improving environment and sloedown the soil erosion can be achieved.But the diversity about the modified of soil phtsical and chemical properties and vegetation growth status are best among all site types.(1)The soil physical and chemical properties and vegeration growth status which was based on different vegeration restoration measures among the 7 sample plots showed larger differences.The soil physical and chemical properties, the vegetation survival rate, preserving rate,growth increment, coverage dendity in BTPT , BT-Z, LWPT are more better than the other 4 sample plots.These indexes in the SQDQ and QZC are the poorest among the 7 sample plots.(2)Reasearch about soil water content in 7 sample plots showed that this index in BTPT,BT-Z and LWPT is higher than it in the other sample plots and there is an upward tendency,the index in SQDQ and QZC is lower than other sample plots,and,there is a small difference between YLK and BT-Y about the soil water content.According to the meteorological data of the year 2005,2007 and 2008,the precipitation in May is a small difference.So,the soil water content is mainly influenced by the site preparing mode,vegetation status and human disturbance.(3)The whole soil backgroud is same,but the soil condition and vegeration has locally difference,so there is difference about the improvement of soil physical and chemical properties among these sample plots. From the soil upper layer to lower layer,the soil water content,total porosity,capillary porosity,non-capillary porosity and caly particle content have an downward tendency,soil bulk density and gravel content have an upward tendency,variation law of silt content is not obviously,PH value has an upward tendency,soil nutrient content has an downward tendency.The results showed that soil improvement effect in the upper layer is better than lower layer.(4)The soil nutrient content of surface layer is higher than it of the lower layer, and the gap of soil nutrient content in BTPT,BT-Z,LWPT is large,but the gap of this between SQDQ and QZC is small..(5)The correlation between soil physical properties and chemical properties is closely.There is a negative correlation between soil bulk density and soil chemical properties,but the correlation is not closely.The soil bulk density is influenced by soil texture,structure,organic matter content ,nature factors and huamn factors.The general law is that the content of soil bulk density is become decreased with the increased of soil nutrient content and the improve of the soil structure.The chemical properties have a positive correlation with soil total porosity,non-capillary porosity and capillary porosity ,but ,the correlation is not closely. (6)Results of cluster analysis showed that the type D is the first place of the suitability for the vegeration restotation of the damaged mountain body(type D:Cercis chinensis, Euonymus fortunei, Pueraria lobata, Parthenocissus tricuspidata, Parthenocissus quinquefolia),the second place is type E(type E: Pinus thunbergii, Sabina chinesis),the third place is type A(type A:Forsythia suspense, Rosa multiflora, Lagerstroemia indica, Castanea mollissima, Prunus ceraifera cv. Pissardii, Euonymus japonicus, Buxus microphylla Ligustrum quihoui, Fraxinus bungeana) ,the fourth place is type C and F(typeC: Rhus typhina, Platycladus orientalis,type F:Punica granatum, Hibiscus syriacus),and type B is not suitable(type B Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Ligustrun lucidum).
