Researches On Vegetation Restoration Of The Damaged Fenghuang Mountain In Wuhan

In this paper, five vegetation restoration measures of damaged Fenghuang Mountain vegetation restoration project were token as research objects with the nearby exist Masson pine forest as contrast. Based on data collection and field investigations, the vegetation growth status, species composition, quantitative characteristics, species diversity and landscape effect of the plant communities of the5restoration measures after2.5years restoration were researched; and based on which, an evaluation system was estabolished with indexes of both ecological and lanscapical effects, and then a comprehensive evaluation was carried out on restoration effect of the damaged Fenghuang Mountain area. Main results were as follows:(1) Analysis on growth effect of dominant species of tree layers and shrub layers of different restoration measures showed:in the three spay seeding measures, the shrub growth of spay seeding with steel mesh was the best, that of spay seeding with guest soil was the worst. Pinus massoniana Lamb and Black Locust grew better than Cinnamomum camphora and Sapium sebiferum.(2) Community species composition of different restoration measures showed that restorated plant species were mainly shrubs and herbs, with a total of46plants species belonging to24families,46genera. They were mostly belonged to Leguminosae, Gramineae and Compositae, indicating that these three families played an important role in vegetation restoration in damaged Fenghuang Mountain area.(3) Analysis of community quantitative characteristics of different restoration measures showed that after two and a half years’restoration, both community coverage and density increased significantly; significant differences in these two indexes (P<0.05) existed among different restoration measures; except vegetation blanket measure, these two indexes of each measure were better than the existed Masson pine forest.(4) Analysis on species diversity indexes showed:shrub layer’s diversity indexes of different restoration measures were all different significantly (P<0.05), diversity index of spray seeding with three-dimension net and guest soil was the highest, that of vegetation blanket technique was the lowest; herb layer’s diversity indexes of different restoration measures were also different significantly, with that of vegetation blanket technique the highest and that of spray seeding with three-dimension net and guest soil the lowest; significant differences also existed in diversity indexes among different layers of the same resotration measures, i.e., herb layer> shrub layer> tree layer; both shrub layer’s evenness and herb layer’s evenness of spay seeding with steel mesh were the highest, and those of vegetation blanket technique were the lowest.(5) Based on the researches of vegetation restoration, indexes of ecological and lanscapical effects were applied, the weight of each indicator was determined via AHP, a valuation system was estabolished. Based the system, a comprehensive evaluation was carried out on the effects of the five different restoration measures for the damaged Fenghuang Mountain area. Comprehensive evaluation scores of the five vegetation restoration measures from high to low were:landscape planting plus vegetation blanket (0.743), spay seeding with steel mesh (0.694), spay seeding with three-dimension net and guest soil (0.587), spay seeding with guest soil (0.369), vegetation blanket (0.087), indicating that the restoration effect of landscape planting plus vegetation blanket was the best.
