Study On Status And Stategies Of Wildlife Rescue In Henan Province

For realizing the situation of wildlife rescue in Henan, writer of this paper investigated the present system of wildlife rescue and management, and the status of rescued wildlife. The main conclusions are as follows:1. Existing problems on wildlife rescue and management includes: (1) Deficient administration institutions; (2) Unsubstantial technology strength and professionals shortage; (3) Propaganda lack and unscientific wildlife release; (4) Special funds absence; (5) Imperfect policies, laws and regulations; (6) Under-developed management and hindered system in natural reserves. Therefore, it is the primary task to enhance system construction of wildlife rescue and management in the whole province.2. The state of wildlife rescue represents that the amount of rescued wildlife, involved birds, mammals and amphibians, has been increased year after year. And most of them with wouds, are taken over from poachers and smugglers by forestry departments and polices. Through treatment and nursing, the recovered wildlife are set free into the nature directly.Against the background above, this paper puts forward relevant suggestions and strategies which will bring the practical guidance to wildlife rescue and management in Henan province.
