In the paper, two preparations, 30% suspension concentrate (SC) of mancozeb and bamboo vinegar, 20% microemulsion (ME) of metalaxyl and bamboo vinegar were developed, through the formula screening. The physical and chemical characters of the preparations were determined, and the bactericidal efficiencies of two bamboo vinegar preparations against cucumber downy mildew were evaluated. The main results were summarized as following:1. Development of 30% SC of mancozeb and bamboo vinegarThrough the formula screening,30% SC of mancozeb and bamboo vinegar was developed, by mixing and milling mancozeb TC, bamboo vinegar, wetting agent, dispersant with a certain percentage. The results indicated that the best formula contained 30.0% mancozeb, 60.0% bamboo vinegar, 4.0% dispersant F4, 0.5% stabilizer agent W, 3.0% glycol, 0.1% defoamer. And the technical indicators such as the suspension rate, the dispersivity, the store stability et.al, were in line with the quality requirement of SC.2. Development of 20% ME of metalaxyl and bamboo vinegarThrough the formula screening,20% ME of metalaxyl and bamboo vinegar was developed, by mixing metalaxyl TC, bamboo vinegar, emulsifier, antifreeze with a certain percentage. The results indicated that the best formula contained 20.0% metalaxyl, 25.0% emulsifier R1, 15.0% emulsifier R2, 5.0% glycol, 30.0% bamboo vinegar. And the technical indicators such as the active ingredient content, the emulsified dispersivity, the emulsified stability, the hot store stability and the cold store stability et.al, were in line with the quality requirement of ME.3. Efficacy of 30% SC of mancozeb and bamboo vinegar against cucumber downy mildewCucumber downy mildew was separately controlled using 30% SC of mancozeb and bamboo vinegar at the concentrations of 500 mg/L, 750 mg/L, 1500mg/L (calculated using the active ingredient mancozeb) and 80% mancozeb WP at the concentration of 1600mg/L, with application every 7d, totally for 3 times, and observed the result after each application. The results showed that the efficiencies of 30% SC of mancozeb and bamboo vinegar at 500 mg/L were 68.08%, 70.65%, 74.90%; the efficiencies of 750mg/L were 70.33%, 75.80%, 76.67%; the efficiencies of 1500mg/L were 74.07%, 78.85%, 83.53%. 80%. The efficiencies of 80% mancozeb WP at 1600 mg /L were 72.26%, 80.85%, 86.89%. The control efficiency, only using bamboo vinegar diluted 100 times were 52.41%, 55.53%, 48.88%. Analysis of variance showed that the efficiency of 30% SC of mancozeb and bamboo vinegar at 750mg/L, the efficiency of 80% mancozeb WP at 1600mg/L had no significant difference at level 5%, but they both had significant differences with the efficiency of bamboo vinegar diluted 100 times. Under the similar control effect, 30% SC of Mancozeb and bamboo vinegar can be used to reduce the amount of mancozeb by 50%.4. Efficacy of 20% ME of metalaxyl and bamboo vinegar against cucumber downy mildewCucumber downy mildew was separately controlled using 20% ME of metalaxyl and bamboo vinegar at the concentrations of 250 mg/L, 333 mg/L, 500mg/L (calculated using the active ingredient mancozeb) and 25% metalaxyl WP at the concentration of 500mg/L, with application every 7d, totally for 2 times, and observed the result after each application. The results showed that the efficiencies of 20% ME of metalaxyl and bamboo vinegar at 250mg/L were 69.70%, 78.60%; the efficiencies of 333mg/L were 79.20%, 84.14%; the efficiencies of 500mg/L were 75.69%, 81.66%. The efficiencies of 25% metalaxyl WP at 500mg/L were 70.22%,76.90%. The control efficiency, only using bamboo vinegar diluted 100 times were 51.89%, 53.25%. Analysis of variance showed that the efficiency of 20% ME of metalaxyl and bamboo vinegar at 250mg/L, the efficiency of 25% metalaxyl WP at 500mg/L had no significant difference at level 5%, but they both had significant differences with the efficiency of bamboo vinegar diluted 100 times. Under the similar control effect, 20% ME of metalaxy and bamboo vinegar can be used to reduce the amount of metalaxy by 50%.
