Forest, a top-level community of the ecosystem of Changbai Mountain, has become the dominating support for ecological economy development of Changbai Mountain. Jilin Forest Industry Group, which has committed itself to the management of forest resources of Changbai Mountain and gathering the ecological, social and economic benefits, is the main force in the development of ecological economy of Changbai Mountain. From the perspective of economic, social benefits and ecological security, the forestry of Forest Industry Group is now facing with distinctly serious position, such as the poor quality and irrational structure. How to evaluate objectively the status and development characteristics of forest resources of these business areas, and make scientific prediction for the future prospects of the representative business areas, makes particular importance for the Forest Industry Group to rationalize the industrial structure and achieve the sustainable forest management.This article comes from the problems in the forest resource development course of Jilin Forest Industry Group in Changbai Mountain areas. According to the statistics during 1999 and 2008 of Jilin Forest Industry Group, we have objectively described the status of forest resources development in Jilin Forest Industry Group. Focusing on the combination of all branches of forest resources operating conditions, mainly through Grey Analytic Hierarchy Process (GAHP) and correspondence analysis, the forest resources development levels of eight subsidiary business areas of Forest Industry Group are integrated evaluated, based on which there are three selected representative business areas, for which to build the Grey Model (1,1) for the predictive analysis of its future development trend, and the prediction accuracy has been tested, providing basis for Jilin Forest Group to make a strategic planning for future development to achieve the ultimate goal of the company's overall development strategy.This study is not only benefit for the achievement of the overall development strategy of Jilin Forest Industry Group, but has far-reaching significance for enhancing the overall competitiveness of Jilin Forest Industry Group.
