Research And Implement Assessment System Of Regional Forest Resources Sustainability

Assessment of Regional forest resource sustainable development is an important foundation in forest resource management. The index system and assessment method of country-level region forest resources are the front of current research.With the development of computer technology, the Geographic Information System(GIS), which have powerful capability in data processing and spatial analysis, have become an indispensable tool in contemporary forest management. At the same time, with the development of "Digital Forest" in china, a lot of forest resource information management system with abundant forest resource data have been built up. How to take out the integrant data from such forest resource database, and utilize these data to calculate forest resource's sustainable development assessment is an exigent problem in the research of forest resource management.In this thesis, firstly we summarize the general method in forest resource sustainable development assessment, then we describe the general model of current forest resource information management, in the last, we implement an assessment system of forest resource's sustainable development. This system is built up with MAPX tools and Visual Basic platform. It can take out proper data from lots of different databases, then compute the assessment value of forest resource's sustainable development. This system is not only an innovate in assessment technology of forest resource, and also provide a practically tool in forest resource assessment computing.
