R527,R353,R747,9311, RB207-1 are broad prospect large-panicle male parents of hybrid rice.studies on growth period thermo-photosensitivity characteristic, heading and flowering, pollen formation and development, High Temperature-tolerance in flowering stage were conducted in Changsha (Hunan Agricultural University) in 2009. The Effect of transplanting basic seedlings on Population panicle-spikelet structure and heading and flowering of large-panicle male parents were studied in Hybrid Rice Seed Production. results and preliminary Conclusions are as follows:1 tested paternal R207,R353,R527,9311,RB207-1,R747 are more sensitive to light and temperature. With the delay of sowing date, the duration from seeding to heading(DSH) was significantly shortened,temperature levels wereⅥ,Ⅴ,Ⅴ,Ⅳ,Ⅶ,Ⅴ, RB207-1 reachedⅦof high susceptibility,others reached middle susceptibility.2 for the male parent's pollen test its population T98A pollination, respectively, to R353,R527,9311,and RB207-1 pollen pollination of the seed were lower than in the control R207-pollinated seed set, of which R353,R527 and control to achieve a significant level, RB207-1 and the control was significant, no significant difference between 9311 and the control. Were tested for the male parent to pollinate information 100A, of which R353,R527,RB207-1-pollinated outcrossing rate was significantly lower than the control R207-pollinated outcrossing rate;9311 with no significant difference between control R207. For the male parent's pollen were tested to Y58S-pollinated seed set, R353,9311, RB207-1 and control to achieve significant levels of R207,R527 and R207 were not significant.3 Apart from RB207-1, duration from Miho to full panicling of the other tested male parents was longer, and full-panicling stage was more dispersed. R353 entered into full-panicling stage in the 4th day after Miho.4-10day after Miho is full-panicling stage,up to 7d; 9311 entered into full-panicling stage in the 3th day after Miho.3-8day after Miho is full-panicling stage,up to 6d;R527 entered into full-panicling stage in the 3th day after Miho.3-7day after Miho is full-panicling stage,up to 5d;CK (R207)entered into full-blooming stage in the 3th day after Miho,and full-blooming stage was more concentrated.the full-blooming stage of the other tested male parents was later and longer than CK, R353 entered into full-blooming stage in the 6th day after Miho.6-12day after Miho is full-panicling stage,up to 7d;R527 entered into full-blooming stage in the 6th day after Miho.6-12day after Miho is full-panicling stage,up to 7d.4 R207,R353,R527 experienced over 37℃high temperature weather at the flowering stage. normal pollen rate with pollen microscope examination was:R207 (85.9%)> R527 (75.8%)> R353 (64.7%). RB207-1,R747 experienced above 37℃high temperature weather at meiosis stage and pollen-filling period,9311 experienced above 37℃high temperature weather at pollen-filling period, normal pollen rate of three male parents with pollen microscope examination was:RB207-1 (90.4%)> R747 (80.7%)> 9311 (76.4%).R207,R353,R527 experienced above 37℃high temperature weather at meiosis stage and pollen-filling period, normal pollen rates were significantly decreased, normal pollen rate of R353,R527,R207 was 30.61%,50.45%,71.95%, heat resistance of three male parents was R207> R527> R353 at meiosis stage and pollen-filling period. RB207-1 experienced over 37℃high temperature weather for two days at the flowering stage, normal pollen rate was 90.4%, which showed that RB207-1 has high temperature resistance at meiosis stage.Thus in aspect of pollen fertility:the sensitivity to high temperature of tested male parents had significant differences, RB207-1>R207> R747> 9311>R527>R353,R353 was the most sensitive to high temperature at pollen-filling period.5 R353,R527 experienced over 37℃high temperature weather at the flowering stage. seed setting rate of R353 only had 33.82%, while R527 was 87.31%, indicating that R527 was more heat resistance at the flowering stage. R747,RB207-1 experienced above 37℃high temperature weather at meiosis stage and pollen-filling period, seed setting rate of R747 only had 66.38%,while RB207-1 was 80.83%.R207,R353,R527 experienced over 37℃high temperature weather at meiosis stage and pollen-filling period, seed setting rate of R353 only had 44.21%,R207 decreased to 75.61%,while R527 seemed to have no effect, heat resistance showed that R527> R207> R353.6 With increasing number of transplanting seedlings per hill, R207 heading duration from 11d reduced to 9d, shorten the 1-2d; flowering duration from 14d reduced to 9d; R353 heading duration from 11d reduced to 9d, flowering duration from the 15d reduced to 11d; R527 heading duration from 14d shortened to 8d, flowering duration was 9 days at transplanting 5 seedlings per hill; 9311 heading duration from 12d shortened to 9d, flowering duration concentrated in the 11-12 d; RB207-1 heading duration was 13d at transplanting 1 seedlings per hill, 11d at transplanting 6 seedlings per hill, flowering duration from 14d decreased to 11d; R747 heading duration was 11d at transplanting 1 or 2 seedlings per hill,8d at transplanting 6 seedlings per hill,flowering duration from 12d decreased to 9d. Indicates that With increasing number of transplanting seedlings per hill, heading and flowering duration of tested male parent have shown decreasing trend, heading and flowering stage was more concentrated.
