Luliangyou996 is superhybrid early uariety indicia, crossed with lul8S and 996 newly bred by Rice Research Institute of Hunan Agricultural University, which was approved by Hunan province crop breed appraisal commission in 2005. The results investigated from 2004 to 2006, which included split seeding experiment, fertilizer content experiment, density experiment of two parents, the basic transplanting number experiment of parents, gibberellic acid (GA3) sensitive experiment of female parent, as well as systemic study of seed production. The main results are as follows.1. Male parent 996, whose plant type is moderate , has 150-200 spikelets. Anther is slim and little. The heading date of stem panicles was 5days or so. While 8-13days of single cave. Single panicle flowering date is 5-6days, while 11-13days of single cave. The female parent with its stem slim and easily lodged, is short the first leaf, its stem pained has 130. Glumes needle is red, pollen is low yellow. Stigma bulk is middle, single excretion rate and double excretion rate is 66% and 34% respectively. Stigma activity sustains 2-3days.2. The growth stage of two parents is sensitive to temperate, The results demonstrated that they are stable on initial heading date. Stem leaf numbers and EAT with little coefficient of variation. They flowering synchronization on temperature in seed production.3. Fertilizing influence the days from sowing to initial heading of both two parents. The days of initial heading had a significant plus relation. With content of basal fertilizer and applying fertilizer before the second panicle differentiation (r=0.97** and r=0.94**). It Varied 12days due to different fertilizer level and management level even if the same seed production field. It is effective by mediating fertilizer content and time for flowering date of parents.4 .The density and basic transplanting numbers influent the days to initial heading. The more the parents transplanting density is, the earlier the flowering date is, vice versa. The days to initial heading of female density with 13.3×13.3cm, male parent with 16.7×30cm is earlier over 2days than female with 20×20cm, male with 30×30cm. The basic numbers of parents have a significant negative relation. With the days from seeding to initial heading date and spikelets per panicle (-0.81, -0.74 respectively). By use of different methods of cultural practice, the days to initial heading of one-plant transplanting in per cave is longer than another cultivar practice methods. Thus, during seed production, the basic numbers is main factor whether the parents an thesis is the same period.5. The portion of parents can flower when they naturally head, after usage of GA3, the male parent with much maturity can flower the same day, while the female parent delays 2-3days, moreover, the higher till ring portion delays 3-4days. The male parent flowers form 10:30 to 11:30, which has 78.9% of the total flower spikelets, little in the afternoon. The flowering spikelet has the portion of 64.9% in total spikelets. The parents have in coincide with spike let an thesis.6. Lu18S is sensitive to GA3 which elongate node length. The most obvious portion is the last second node, then the last node, the last third node. However, it has little influence to the last fourth and fifth node. The mean height is 117.8-138.3cm. The smaller the index of initial heading is, the higher the plant height is; vice versa. To increase usage of GA3 solved neck problem. It shows no effect to enhance the rate of excretion of stigma by increasing usage of GA3.
