As the large number of requirements on timber in production and living,also the forest playing the important part in ecosystem, the natural forest sustainable management becomes the major research subject,this paper chose the NEIMENGGU DAXINGANLING MANGUI Forestry as the research area.By collecting the data of almost fifty years,we analyzed the forest resources about MANGUI Forestry, including the change about species composition, the size of forest land, and the species succession.In this forty-seven years, forest area and stock volume changed little in the Forestry.the matured forest was nearly the half,the to-mature forest was about seventy percent, forest in reality was above seventy percent. and the percent of young forest was lower,until to the year of 2002,the stock volume of the young was less than five percent.The average forest sand volume in stands was comprehensive index that measures the stand productivity.In MANGUI Forestry, the average stock volume per hectare was decreased at each age class. The reflection was overall forest productivity decreasing.The dynamics of sand volume in MAGUI Forestry was decreased in younger forest (â… andâ…¡age class),and increased greatly at middle age class (â…¢andâ…£age class). The sand volume decreased atâ…¤age class, but increased atâ…¥andâ…¦age class (the matured forest). The rule showed the dynamics of for areas and sand volume at each age class was related to the disappeared volume of land suitable for afforestation and the sparsely forested woodland. After the updated forest, the better it managed, the more the forest quantity. The change of forest sand volume was related to the density of forest cutting. when the cuttings was lower than the annual increment, the average sand volume per hectare forest and the total sand volume must increase, or else it muse decrease greatly. The tried proved that it should be mainly by selective cutting and intermediate cutting in DAXINGANLING area, and the density of harvesting should be less than thirty percent, the upbringing style should be the natural regeneration or the promotion of natural regeneration.The forest at 1.0 shade density in MANGUI Forestry disappeared. This showed the harvesting density was bigger,so the stand density index decreased greatly.In the good natural reproduction forest area at MANGUIForestry, the forest area at different age classes and stock volume all increased.at different age classes.the annual growth and annual growth rate per average hectare showed increasing in lower age classes and decreasing in higher age classes(above theâ…£age class). The main reason was the upbringing density went greatlyand the interval between harvesting was so short.it contributed to the stock volume per hectare decreasing. The soft broad-leaved trees such as Birch and Populus in this area had the strong ability of natural updating, the forest area appears secondary phenomenon, and it developed rapidly.This research conduct the forest landscape and dynamic space visualization by interval of 30 years in MANGUI Forestry. From 1967 to 1996,the forest landscape occurred s eries changes at MANGUI Forestry. Landscape types increased from 29 to 45.the main reason is the clear cutting at coniferous original forest and post-fire area growed forest by natural regeneration.so using the Landscape shape index to depict the landscape of the forest resources and space data is feasible.
