Research on Principle of Epidemic Febrile Disease (EFD) Planning Treatment according to Diagnosis (Attachment: Experimental Research on Treatment of Ying and Xue Syndrome of EFD by Compound Formula of Antipestilence)Major: Basis of Clinical TCM Postgraduate: Ge Li Tutor: Prof. Dai ChunfuProf. Chen YangrongABSTRACTWith collecting data of ancient classics and modern researches and experiments on treatment of Ying and Xue syndrome of EFD with animal model, a new principle of EFD planning treatment according to diagnosis was developed after systematic investigation. It emphasizes on preventing the diseases from progressing and turning back the situation rapidly based on the pathogenesis of EFD, which includes pathogenic action, Yin impaired, Qi consumed and blood stasis, with the treatment methods of dispelling exogenous pathogen, nourishing Yin, reinforcing Qi and removing blood stasis and with the medicines of clearing heat and resolving toxin with cold and bitterness, nourishing Yin, reinforcing Qi and removing blood stasis. To evaluate the theory, an animal model of Ying and Xue syndrome of EFD was made with injection of endotoxin in rabbits. To observe the effects of antipestilence injection and blood-cooling injection injected in rabbits' abdominal cavity, many indexes were examined, including temperature, symptom, WBC, BPC, platelet-gathering ratio, PT, TT, KPTT, the length wet weight and dry weight of external thrombus, TXB2, 6-keto-PGF,a, ET, and histopathologic changes of organs. The result was that the antipestilence injection was more effective than blood-cooling injection significantly. The study suggests that: the comprehensive treatment principle, including . dispelling exogenous pathogen, nourishing Yin, reinforcing Qi and removing blood stasis, is important in EFD planning treatment according to diagnosis.
