Experiment Study Conjunctiva Postposition For Earlier Period Conjunctiva Alkali Burns

Purpose:1 .To examine the usefulness of Conjunctiva Postposition(CP) on reconstructing conjunctiva structure and function after bilateral alkali burns earlier period.2.To examine the cell proliferating cell value in different area of conjunctiva after Conjunctiva Postposition.Method:24 New Zealand white rabbits were divided into two groups randomly: Experimental group 18 and contrast group 6. In the experimental group, bilateral superior ball conjunctiva were burned by alkali about lOxSmm.The left eyes and the right eyes were performed CP at the second week and the fifth week after burning. The growth condition was observed through the slit lamp after operation. 18 rabbits were killed after 1 week~ 3weeks and 5 weeks .The specimen of conjunctival tissue were observed through PAS.. SEM~ TEM and PCNA. The results between the left and the right was compared. In the cons, The area of operation on left eyes was 5 x ~ Omm,the right was 8 x 10mm. The speed of tissue growth was observed through dC. And the specimen of conjunctival tissue were observed through PAS~. SEM~. TEM and PCNA.Result:1 .In Exps, the conjunctiva of left eyes appeared congests edemas pus secretion and reconstructed badly .The cytoarchitecture did not resume. Symblepharon was formed at last. On the contrary, the conjunctiva of right eyes reconstructed successfiully , extended to limbal at last. . The cytoarchitacture had resumed. Its appearance was similar to normal conjunctiva at fifth week. The number of goblet cell between the two groups show significant difference at the third week and the fifth week after operation . 2.In Cons, 6 left eyes were extended to limbal, 2 right eyes were extended to limbal, 4 right eyes formed conjunctiva cyst . There were significant difference between of them. The left eyes grew to limbal in a week, the speed of growth was I .5mm/day through CIC. In exps PCNA print index between two groups had significant difference. In cons PCNA print index among palpebral conjunctiva . fornix conjunctiva~ bulbar conjunctiva showed significant difference.Conclusion:conjunctiva postposition is a practical method to treat symblepharon. The time of conjunctiva postposition should be 5 weeks after burning .The area should be <5mm . Conjunctiva postposition can active-3-conjunctival proliferating cell to reconstruct conjunctival.
