Influence Of The Four Chinese Herbs On Experimental Hyperlipidemia,atherosclerosis And Nitric Oxide In The Long-term Cholesteros-fed Rabbits

Serum lipid is the focus of medical research for its close association with cardiovascular disease. To adjust serum lipid with Chinese herbs is the important part of the research. We observed the influence of the four Chinese herbs on experimental hyperlipidemia, atherosclerosis and nitric oxide in the long-term cholesterol-fed rabbits. The result show that the extent of atherosclerosis of aorta is concordant with the change of the levels of serum TO, TC, LDLc, VLDLc and these ratios of TCIHDLc, LDLc/HDLc, TC-HDLc/HDLc increases. The change of these ratios is more significant than the change of common serum lipids. We discovered that the zonal proportion of AL, a Lp2, a Lp3, a Lp4 and mt P Lp altered in the different experiment stages. The nitric oxide metabolite of the rabbits with hyperlipidemia has significantly increased. We observed the influence of the four Chinese herbs on all index. The result indicate that the four Chinese herbs significantly lowered the levels of serum TO, TC, LDLc, VLDLc and improved these ratios of TC/HDLc, LDLc/HDLc, TC-HDLc/HDLc. ZhengZhi pellet(ZZP) and DaHunagZheChong pellet(DHZCP) significantly increased the zonal proportion of AL, a Lp2, a Lp3, a Lp4. QiJuDiHuang pellet(QJDHP) significantly increased the zonal proportion of a Lp3. All Chinese herbs significantly decreased the zonal proportion of mt P Lp. All Chinese herbs could delay the developing of Atheromatous plaque of aorta and promote their melting. The curative effect of ZZP and DHZCP is superior to that of QJDHP and CXLJP. The ZZP and DHZCP could decrease the inactivation of NO and protect the NO system. ZZP is superior to other herbs in altering the all index. Besides ZZP, ChenXiaLuJun pellet(CXLJP) is expert in decreasing serum TG, DHZCP and QJDHP are good at decreasing serum TC and LDLc.
