ABSTRACT ABSTRACT In this subject, the male rats of Wistar strain were selected as experimental study objects.32 rats were divided into four groups by random:false operation group (group A)~ model group (group B)~. scalp acupuncture group (group C) scalp acupuncture with rehabilitation group (group D).To anologue the patholgic change coursed by cerebral ischemia in human, the animal model were made by blockig middle cerebral artery. Neuronal function evaluation~, halter tests rotation test~ reticular screen test~ pathomorphologic change~. nerve growth factor (NGF)~. brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)~ transforming growth factor (TGF) and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) were selected as indexes .we contrasted the difference among different groups at immediate time and at the seventh day after the operation and tried to show the probable mechanism of scalp acupuncture with rehabilitation therapy in acute cerebral infarction from the scopes of behavior medicine~ pathomorphology and immunohistochemistry. The study showed that scalp acupuncture with rehabilitation therapy can improve cerebral infarct rat?s grasping ... equilib- rating and moving function and strengthen myodynamia; improve glia cell and collagenous fibers hyperplasia and reduce cerebral tissue edema and infarct size and induct NGF BDNF TGF and bFGF expression following facal cerebral ischemia in cortex and in hippocampal gyrus. The study proved that the therapy of scalp acupuncture with rehabilitation can reduce ischemic cell damage and delay programed cell death or apoptosis after cerebral infarction. It can protect and repair neuron. This experiment provided theoretical basis to clinic. -4-...
