| To investigate the relationship of the level of serum LDH, 3 2-MG,CD44 and Npt to clinical status treatment outcome and prognosis in patients with Non-hodgkin's lymphoma.MethodBeckman-CX5 was employed to determine levels of LDH; RIA was employed to determine the levels of 3 2-MG; Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was employed to determine the levels of CD44 and Npt in peripheral blood of 46 patients with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) before and after therapy.ResultPre-treatment serum LDH, {3 2-MG,CD44 and Npt levels were different in patients with low grade, intermediate grade and high grade NHL. The levels of LDH and {3 2-MG were lower in patients with low grade NHL. The levels of them were higher in patients with intermediate grade NHL, but there were no significant difference (P>0.05). There were significance difference between intermediate grade and high grade (P<0.01). The CD44 and Npt level had significant difference between low grade and intermediate grade, intermediate and high grade (PO.01).Pre-treatment serum CD44,Npt and |3 2-MG levels of III+IV were higher than levels of I + II (P<0.01). Serum LDH level had nosignificant difference (P>0.05) between III + IV and I + II stage in NHL.After treatment serum LDH, 3 2-MG,CD44 and Npt levels had great change .There were significance between Pre-treatment and after treatment (P<0.01), especially in patients with CR (PO.01).Conclusion1. The levels of LDH, 3 2-MG,CD44 and Npt in NHL were helpfulto judge malignant degree, treatment outcome and prognosis.2. The level of LDH had no relationship with Ann Arbor stage. The assay is simple. It is a reliable and independent tumor marker.3. CD44 and Npt is important serum tumor marker. There are sensitivity and specificity to a certain degree in NHL.4. Detection together of serum LDH, 3 2MG,CD44 and Npt can judge rightly clinical status and prognosis. They are helpful to individual treatment. There are tangible and feasibility clinical value.
