| Objective: to conduct clinical research by multi-centered random comparison on Pabeprazole Sodium made in China, for assessing effectiveness and safety of using it in curing the duodenal ulcer and gastric ulcer.Method: to group randomly 150 cases of duodenal ulcer and 90 cases of gastric ulcer identified by gastroscope into a group with Pabeprazole Sodium and a group with Omeprazole for comparison purpose, observing by gastroscope the healing of ulcer that have undergone curing periods of 3 weeks and 6 weeks (DU), and the 4 weeks and 8 weeks (GU) respectively, and comparing time length of the pains relief and depress level of gastric acid before and after curing of one group with the other. Result: I. Therapeutic evaluation:1. The group with Pabeprazole Sodium of duodenal ulcer curing comprising of 75 cases that have different pain levels: for three weeks ulcer healing ratio is 94.67% with the effectiveness ratio of 100%; for 6 weeks ulcer healing ratio is 98.67% with the effectiveness radio of 100%; pains relieffor less than 3 days, 3 days to 7 days and 7 days to 21 days are 85.33%, 97.33% and 100% respectively; number of day for average number for pains relief is 2.91+ 1.42 days. The group with Omeprazole for comparison purpose of duodenal ulcer curing comprising of 75 cases that have different pain levels: for three weeks ulcer healing ratio is 81.34% with the effectiveness ratio of 97.34%; for 6 weeks ulcer healing ratio is 97.33% with the effectiveness radio of 100%; pains relief for less than 3 days, 3 days to 7 days and 7 days to 21 days are 50.67%, 78.67% and 92% respectively; number of day for average number for pains relief is 5.72+ 3.42 days. 2. The group with Pabeprazole Sodium of gastric ulcer curing comprising of 43 cases that have different pain levels: for four weeks ulcer healing ratio is 90.07% with the effectiveness ratio of 100%; for eight weeks ulcer healing ratio is 97.68% with the effectiveness radio of 100%; pains relief for less than 3 days, 3 days to 7 days and 7 days to 21 days are 81.39%, 90.69% and 97.69% respectively; number of day for average number for pains relief is 2.93+ 1.15 days. The group with Omeprazole for comparison purpose of gastric ulcer curing comprising of 43 cases that have different pain levels: for four weeks ulcer healing ratio is77.27% with the effectiveness ratio of 97.73%; for eight weeks ulcer healing ratio is 95.45% with the effectiveness radio of 100%; pains relief for less than 3 days, 3 days to 7 days and 7 days to 21 days are 47.73%, 79.54% and 93.18% respectively; number of day for average number for pains relief is 5.87+ 3.64 days.3 . The gastric juice analysis made before and after curing of 80 cases of duodenal ulcer and gastric ulcer chosen randomly show that both the group with Pabeprazole Sodium and the group with Omeprazole for comparison purpose have a obvious effect on the depress of gastric acid and the group with Pabeprazole Sodium is more effective than the comparative Omeprazole for comparison purpose. But that is not meaningful in statistics. II. Safety of observationThe 6 weeks (DU) and 8 weeks (GU) periods observations show during the research on the Peroral Pabeprazole Sodium Tablet made in China, there is one case for each time length research that such adverse reaction as light headache and diarrhea, etc. occurred, but the patients can endure them and complete the course of treatment. The adverse reaction to blood, liver and kidney are not found. The vitality symptom ofpatients and the data got by the laboratory are no meaningful change in clinic. The Peroral Pabeprazole Sodium Tablet is of a high safety.
