Effects Of Combination Of Astragalus Root And Rhubarb On Chronic Rental Failure (CRF)

Based on the TCM theory and contemporary pharmacology research, this thesis makes a study on compatibility of Astragalus root and Rhubarb on Chronic Rental Failure (CRF) both in therapy and experiment. It states that declination of spleen and kidney, damp-heat stasis and turbid pathogenic factor congestion is the main pathogenesis in CRF, and the main therapy is invigorate the spleen, replenish qi, release heavy evil and clear away heat. This research uses Astragalus root, Rhubarb combined together to see its effects on urine metabolized substance and Urea, Cr, Ca, P, Chol, Trig of rats plasma, MDA, SOD, ET and ANP. The results show that the combination of Astragalus root and Rhubarb has obvious effects on the above mentioned experimental research and has a better effect on treating CRF.
