| Medicinal plant phylogenetica is a new branch of learningcoming into being and developing recent years which study the correlation of genetic relationship, chemical component and therapeutic effectiveness of plant. It will guide the use of medicinal plant resource and search for new medicinal resource in our country, and the study on medicinal plant will enter a new stage.Through collection, collation and analysis of literature, this article analyses, discusses and summarizes materia medica, genetic relationship, chemical component and pharmacological action of the medicinal plant belong to Radix Angelicae Sinensis genus of Umbelliferae. It is indicated that the source of original plant of medicinal plant most in use belong to Radix Angelicae Sinensis genus is complicated (Radix Angelicae Sinensis involves 13 kind of plant belong to 8 genes of 2 family, Radix Angelicae Dahuricae involves almost 30 kind of plant belong to 8 genus of Umbelliferae, Radix Angelicae Pubescentis involves 22 kind of plant at least belong to 4 genus of 2 family). These medicinal plants have similar chemical component, and some of them are same (such as skimmetine, volatile oil, etc). The pharmacological action of these medicinal plants are similar too (such as act on cardiovascular system and smooth muscle, anti-inflammatory and analgesic, etc). The study verifies there is certain relation in genetic relationship, chemical component and pharmacological action of the medicinal plant belong to Radix Angelicae Sinensis genus. This study can correct the confused use of plant most in use to promote clinical curative effect and afford foundation for enlarging the medicinal resource of Radix Angelicae Sinensis genus.
