Objective: To research the clinical curative effect and explore the mechanism of penetrating of scalp-point on acute hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) Methods: 50 patients who were suffered from this disease were radomly divided into two groups: one is the penetrating of scalp-point therapeutic group the other is the Western medicine group namely control group. The two groups were all treated by dehydration, controlling blood pressure etc. Select the nervous functional deficiency mark, activity of daily living (ADL) form, the amount of hematoma, somatosensory evoked potential (SEP) as indexes and analyzing the results. Results: After 28 days, the recovery of patients' nervous function of scalp acupuncture group was obviously superior to that of control group (P<0.05), especially the improvement of nervous functional deficiency level and ability of ADL. With improvement of clinical symptoms, the amount of hematoma reduced and the general abnormal rate of SEP lessened distinctly. The two groups were obviously different as well (P<0.05).Conclusions: The above results suggest that the effect of penetrating of scalp-point can improve the absorb of hematoma effectively. The mechanism may be related with reviving the reversible nerve cells or awaking the inhibited nerve cells by improving the excitebility of the cerebral nerve cells. Therefore, improving the general nervous function by adjusting the coordination and compensation function.
