Objective: To research therapeutic mechanism of acute hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) with scalp-acupoint penetrating and clinical curative effect. Methods: 62 patients with acute hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage were randomly divided into acupuncture group and control group .And another 20 people were selected as healthy normal group. The former two groups were all routine neurological treated Acupuncture group was added with scalp-acupoint penetrating therapy. To observe the serum NSE variation of patients on 1st , 3rd , 7th and 14th day after treatment; To judge therapeutic effect through patients' nervous functional deficiency extent and activity of daily living(ADL) ability after 14 days' treatment. Results: The NSE content of patients' serum was correlativ epositively with the amount of cerebral hemorrhage and nervou sfunctional deficiency extent and was correlative negatively with activity of daily living (ADL) ability. Serum NSE content in the acute period increased obviously and distinguished signi ficantly with normal control group (P<0.01) .The 3rd day's content was higher than any other time (P<0.01) and correspo ndent with the appearance time of hydrocephalus. After 14 treatment day, the serum NSE content of scalp-acupoint penet rating group decreased significantly, and distinguished with control group obviously (P<0.01) . The clinical curative apprai sal indicate the acupuncture group is better than the control group (P<0.01) in the patient's improvement of nervous funct ional deficiency extent the raise of activity of daily living(AD L)ability. The total efficiency rate of scalp-acupoint acupuncture group 87.5% was superior to control group 76.7% (P <0. 05).Conclusions: The serum NSE is a specific index of cereb...
