Atheriosclerosis obliterans is a chronic arterial occlusive disease resulted from arteriosclerosis, which belongs to "blood stasis", "mortification" in traditional Chinese medicine. Kangmai injection is gained in about 20 years' clinical observation by professor Lilinggen, the chairman of therapeutic center of peripheral vascular diseases in the first affiliated hospital of Heilongjiang university of TCM. Kangmai injection is an effective formula treating Atheriosclerosis obliterans. We used "feeding high fat forge", "sewing up exterior Membrane of iliofemoral artery"," immune injury by injecting bovine serum albumin in vein" to make iliofemoral Atheriosclerosis obliterans of rabbits. After made treat group of kangmai injection and control group of Mailuoning injection, Observed influence of every datum in Intercellular Adhesion Molecule (ICAM-1 ), Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), before and after the treatment. The result suggested Kangmai injection obviously reduced ICAM-1 and advanced VEGF. Conclusion: Kangmai injection can effectively prevent from happening and developing of ASO and gain active treat effect by increasing VEGF and decreasing of ICAM-1.
