Serum Level Of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor In Different Phase And Acreage Of Cerebral Infarction Patients And Clinical Significance

ObjectiveWe serially measured the serum levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the patients with differ acreages and periods of cerebral infarction . Investigate the disciplinarian of serum levels of VEGF in the patients with acute cerebral infarction. Forecust the acreage of cerebral infarction by measuring the serum levels of VEGF. Appraise the relationship between the serum levels of VEGF and the outcome of patients. Observe the relationship between the drug Ginaton and the serum levels of VEGF.MethodIn the first place, the standards of fit and rejection were formulated. Case group:50 patients;control group:40 persons. Each of the case group, 2ml of blood was collected and analyzed at the admission time, Iday, 3day 7day and 14day after acute ischemic stroke. Each of the control group, 2ml of blood was collected only once. The second place, all patients were evaluated by CT and then be classified as having a large infarct,a moderate infarct and a small infarct. The third place, the moderate infarct patients were categorized as two groups in random, one of them added drug (Ginaton)during the seventh day to the fourteenth day after stroke, the anther one only apply the routine plan. The fourth place, analysis the nerve system and sign at the time of admission ,4 weeks and 12 weeks with The European Stroke Scale(ESS). The fifth place, apply SPSS 8.0 for windows to deal with all datas.ResultsThe serum levels of VEGF in patients were differed from the normal persons notability,(P<0.05); there was differed from each other at different period in the same patient, most of patients reached the top at the third day after stroke, maintain it to the seventh day, and then declivited. there were different from each other of three sizes in the serum levels of VEGF at the time when they admissioned,(P<0.05), the same as other periods; the being selected drug (Ginaton)influenced the serum levels of VEGF; the correlation between the serum levels of VEGF and the outcome is not significant.Cone I us i onThe levels of serum VEGF in the patients with acute cerebral infarction were significantly higher than in the normal persons. In the acute period,the level of serum VEGF getting up gradually and reach up the top at the third day; after the seventh day, the level of serum VEGF getting down gradually. The more size of the infarction, the more higher the serum level of VEGF , this phenomenon will be discovered in the earlier period (less then 16 hours after stroke). The drug Ginaton may be slowed the decline current of the serum levels of VEGF. The correlation between the serum levels of VEGF and the outcome is not significant.
