Objectives To observe the relationship between the level of carotid extracranial stenosis in patients, vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),fibroblast growth factor(FGF),placental growth factor(PLGF),angiogenin(Ang)and the extracranial stenosis of the carotid artery. Methods From January 2017 to December 2017,a total of 255 first hospitalized patients for acute cerebral infarction in the Department of Neurology,North China University of Technology were enrolled to this research.First, according to the results of cervical vascular ultrasonography, the patients with cerebral infarction were evaluated to the presence or absence carotid extracranial stenosis groups.Second,in the presence carotid extracranial stenosis group, the patients stratified into three groups(mild stenosis group, moderate stenosis group and severe stenosis group)according to the degree of carotid stenosis.According to the results of cervical vascular ultrasonography, the patients with cerebral infarction were evaluated to the presence or absence carotid extracranial plaque groups.According to the plaque echo intensity under ultrasound:stable plaque group and unstable plaque group.Simultaneously.The levels of serum VEGF,FGF,PLGF and Ang were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results 1(1)A total of 255 patients were selected to this study.76(29.8%)participants hadn't extracranial stenosis,179(70.2%)participants had extracranial stenosis, patients in mild stenosis group, moderate stenosis group and severe stenosis group were 81(45.3%),49(27.4%),and 49(27.4%),respectively.(2)123(68.7%)participants had extracranial plaques,56(31.3%)participants hadn't extracranial plaques.stable plaque 61(49.6%),unstable plaque 62(50.4%).2(1)By t test of independent samples, there were significant differences in the levels of VEGF,FGF,PLGF and Ang between the extracranial segmental stenosis group and the non-cranial extracranial stenosis group(P<0.05).The mean value of each factor was used as the exposure limit, mean was exposed, and the mean was non-exposed.After chi-square test, the levels of VEGF,FGF,PLGF and Ang were associated with carotid extracranial stenosis in patients with acute cerebral infarction, and VEGF levels were the most closely related.(2)Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that serum VEGF,FGF,PLGF and Ang levels were still associated with extracranial stenosis of the carotid artery after control of other influencing factors(OR=4.125,2.803,2.830,2.521,95%CI 1.620~10.502,1.298~6.055,1.154~6.939,1.080~5.886).(3)the levels of VEGF?FGF?PLGF?Ang were significantly higher in moderate stenosis and severe stenosis groups than in mild stenosis group(P<0.05).3(1)By t test of independent samples, the results showed that there were significant differences in the levels of VEGF,FGF,PLGF and Ang between the extracranial plaque group and the non-cranial extracranial plaque group(P<0.05).The mean value of each factor was used as the exposure limit,?mean was exposed, and the mean was non-exposed,the levels of VEGF,FGF and PLGF were associated with extracranial plaques of the carotid artery in patients with acute cerebral infarction, and the level of FGF was the most closely related.(2)Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that serum VEGF,FGF and PLGF levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction were still associated with extracranial plaques of the carotid artery(OR=3.86,4.731,4.835,95%CI 1.119~13.492,1.605~13.946,1.944~12.029).(3)By t test of independent samples, the results showed that there were significant differences in the levels of VEGF,FGF and PLGF between the unstable plaques in the extracranial segment of the carotid artery(P < 0.05).The average value of each factor was used as the exposure limit,?mean was exposed, and the mean was non-exposed.the results showed that the levels of VEGF,FGF and PLGF were associated with the stability of extracranial plaque in patients with acute cerebral infarction, and the level of VEGF was the most closely related.logistic regression analysis showed that serum VEGF and FGF levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction were still associated with carotid extracranial plaque stability after control of other influencing factors(OR = 3.127,2.414,4.835,95% CI,1.302~7.510,1.043~5.587),PLGF levels were not associated with carotid cranial plaque stability. Conclusions 1 The levels of serum VEGF,FGF,PLGF and Ang were associated with carotid extracranial stenosis in patients with acute cerebral infarction, and VEGF levels were most closely related. With the increase of serum VEGF,FGF,PLGF and Ang levels, the degree of extracranial stenosis of the carotid artery was aggravated.2 The levels of serum VEGF,FGF and PLGF were associated with extracranial plaques of carotid artery in patients with acute cerebral infarction.VEGF and FGF were associated with the stability of carotid extracranial plaque in patients with acute cerebral infarction.Figure 2;Table 19;Reference 130...
