The essence of tumor is unbalance between proliferation and apoptosis. Inducing apoptosis has become a new model for treating tumor. At present many doctors are trying to improve the therapeutic effects for tumor and to reduce the side-effects by using both chemotherapy and cytokine. To find out better method for using chemotherapy and cytokine and to know the effects of chemotherapy on anti-proliferation, inducing apoptosis of tumor cells and expression of apoptosis interrelated gene protein are good to provide experiment basis for clinic and to reveal mechanism of chemotherapy. This paper has studied the effects of Interferon ( (IFN-() and Mitomycin C (MMC) for anti-proliferation,inducing apoptosis and the expression of apoptosis interrelated gene protein in MGC-803 cells of gastric carcinoma by MTT, TUNEL and immuncytochemistry. The experiment results showed that ① By MTT:MMC and IFN-( could restrain MGC-803cells at 0.1(0.5(g/ml and 50(10000(g/ml respectively and it suggested the more dense MMC or IFN-(, the more restraining effect. There were remarkable differences between every experiment groups (P<0.05 or P<0.01 or P<0.001) except that several caseshaving no difference at all (P >0.05). ID50 of MMC was 0.3(g/ml. IFN-γ could improve the restraining effect of MGC-803 when both ID50 of MMC and different dense of IFN-( were used (P 0.05). IFN-r remarkable improved masculine expression of APO% and PCNA of MGC-803 (P
