Summarization Of The Experiences On The Operative Treatment Of 104 Cases Of Lumbar Disc Herniation

Objective: Summarizing the experiences of Professor Lui Jingsheng on the operative treatment of Lumbar Disc Herniation (LDH) to direct the clinical practices. Methods: The retrospective analysis was made to 104 LDH cases operated by Professor Liu Jingsheng from June 1998 to August 2002 to evaluate the therapeutic results by the follow-up. Results: Among the 104 cases, 54 cases were followed up. The follow-up rate was 51.9%. The excellent-good rate was 94.4%. Conclusions: (1) Imaging examination takes extremely important role on the treatment of LDH. (2) Selection of appropriate surgical indication is the crucial factor of the accomplishment of operation. (3) To sustain the stability of spine as possible. (4) Minimally invasive operation can' t take the place of the fenestration looked directly.
