Protective Effects Of Honghua Injection On Acute Myocardial Ischemia Of Rats

The protective effects of Honghua Injection(HHI) against myocardial ischemia were studied. The rat model of acute myocardial ischemia (AMI) was established with Pituitrin (Pit). We observed the following items: (1) myocardial infarction scope (MIS); (2) the activity of Superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA); (3) the activity of Creatine kinase (CK) and CK-MB, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), aspartate transaminase (AST). We also investigated the pharmacological actions of Honghua Injection on the hemorheology of rat blood stasis model, the model of blood stasis was established with high-dose adrenaline subcutaneous injection and being socked in ice-water. The hemorheology of rat blood stasis model were investigated.It was shown that CK, LDH, AST, CK-MB released in blood of AMI group, four enzymes' activity of AMI group is higher than normal ones, CK, LDH, AST increased significantly, CK-MB increased too. HHI2g/kg could significantly decrease CK, AST, and decrease the MIS.We found that there were higher MDA, lower activity of SOD of AMI group. The results showed that SOD of AMI group is significantly lower than normal group, and MDA of AMI group is significantly higher than normal group. HHI 2g/kg could significantly increase the SOD activity and reduce the concentration of MDA.HHI1 g/kg and 0.5g/kg have same results.The hemorheology of rat blood stasis model are higher than normal group. As compared with the model groups, three dose groups of HHI (2g/kg, Ig/kg and 0.5g/kg) could obviously decrease the main blood viscosoty. The results showed that Honghua Injection could effectively decrease blood viscosity.The present results showed that HHI posses protective effect on acute mycardial ischemia, and the effect may be related with decreasing injuries by higher activity of SOD and lower activity of MDA, and decreased blood viscosity.
