Existing research productions definitely indicate that athletes may put up obvious immunosuppression phenomenon after prolonged intensive exercise. Immunosuppression can affect training quality and athletes'health. Many studies had paid much attention to immune modification, especially by means of complementarity of nutrition.Nano-selenium has attracted more amd more attention because of its antioxidant capacity and immune protecting function. Selenium is a necessary microelement for human being and animal but it is poisonous at the same time. The bound is narrow between its virtuous and poisonous dose. Because it has better effectiveness and lower poisnousness,application of Nano-selenium has more value and wider foreground. There are few study in effect of the Se supplement in athletic public and there, is no report in effect of prolonged training with Se supplement to liver and kidney. The purpose of this research is to observe the effects of different dose selenium supplement and endurance training to liver and kidney function in rats. 50 SD rats served as subjects and they were randomly divided into five groups: control group,endurance training group,low dose group(25 ug/kg weight),middle-dose group(50 ug/kg) and high group(100 ug/kg). Following parameters were tested: serum aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),serum creatinine,blood urea nitrogen(BUN) in 48 hours after the last training. Result shows:(1) No significant difference of serum AST and ALT activity was observed between training group and control group after four-week endurance training. It implies that prolonged aerobic exercise has no significant effect on liver and kidney function.(2) Higher concentration of serum creatinine in training group was observed compared with rest group after four-week aerobic training (P<0.05) .It implies that prolonged aerobic exercise may have significant influence on kidney function.(3) Resulting from two-fold effect of Nano-Se supplement and aerobic exercise,level of Cr was significantly decreased compared with training group (P<0.05). It implies that three doses of selenium supplement can have significant effect on kidney function.(4) In high-dose group, the activity of serum AST is significantly lower than training group (P<0.05), and also the activity of serum ALT in high-dose group is significantly lower than other two groups (P<0.001). It implies that 100 u g/kg selenium supplement may have significant effect on liver function.
