The Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Huayumingmutang To Diabetic Retinopathy Of Non-Proliferative Phase

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is the main retina vascular disease which causes severe destruction to visual function. Recently, the study on physio-dissection, constitution-pathology, clinical therapy, prognosis, Chinese medicine pathological mechanism and disease form has been gradually further in the world and in domestic. Since the mechanism of onset of illness still hasn't been clarified completely, moreover, there isn't breakthrough progress in therapy. Hence, the therapy on DR has become one of the most important topics in our nation and in global medical domain now.It is believed that the main lesion of DR lies in liver, spleen, kidney in traditional Chinese medicine. Its pathological mechanism is deficiency of both Qi and yin, which cause blood stasis. And blood stasis is the pathological background which can evoke and step up progress of DR. So most diagnosis and treatment bases on supplementing Qi, nourishing yin, promoting bloodcirculation, and so on.The main therapeutic doctrine of this topic are supplementing Qi and nourishing yin, hemostasia by removing blood stasis, removing intensive heat from the liver and improving acuity of sight. We administer HuaYuMingMuDecoction to 60 patients who is in non-proliferative phase of DR to make clinical observation. According to random principle, we divided them into two groups, namely the observation group of the traditional Chinese medicine and control group of western medicine. We observe clinical effect and markers of hemorheology, results are as follows:1.HuaYuMingMuDecoction can facilitate absorption of fundus oculi haemorrhagia and exudation, enhance sight, amplify visual field, its action is superior to that of western medicine group (P<0.05) ;2. HuaYuMingMu Decoction shows remarkable effect in tre-ating DR in non-proliferative phase. The general effe ct rate amou-nt to 80%, which is superior to that of weste rn medicine group (P<0.05) ;3. Markers of hemorheology cue that comparison bet ween be-fore treatment and after treatment of the obser vation group and c-omparison between two groups shows significant discrepancy (P<0.05) .
